In a dream world, Island will spoil us with a Three anniversary reissue including a whole bonus disc of unreleased songs. They recorded loads during those album sessions. :wub: Although, I don't know how realistic those expectations are though...

It was before they were dropped by Island, so I think they were just desperate since I assume Island wouldn't shell out money for them to record new material. '

 

I assume that The Best of Bs collections finished off their contracts with Island and then of course the Sony / Freedom mess happened.

Interesting. They must have heaps of unreleased material from the 2.0 era and it Must be Good given that 4.0 tried to raid it and 3.0 did raid it for Change. Three and the b-sides are all top quality so the Demos Must have some bangers among them

It really does seem like the Three era must be full of unreleased material since that's what they seemingly keep coming back to. I guess it makes sense since Island wanted to properly establish them after Angels and it was pre-Mutya getting pregnant, so there's probably a lot in the vault. I hope we can get a 20th anniversary edition of it.

I know the taller sessions were used for Change but it wouldn’t surprise me if something from Three ended up on Taller. Something like It Ain’t Easy could quite easily be of that era.

 

I would love an anniversary edition of all the 2.0 albums but defo Angles and absolutely Three. The first trio of albums really are their most essential, with Taller hanging close by

I always felt like the tracks that only credit Heidi / Keisha on Change were from the Taller sessions, which would be 5 (!) tracks (Never Gonna Dance Again / My Love Is Pink / Mended By You / 3 Spoons of Suga / Open the Door). I also wonder if Back When (Dallas Austin / JC Chasez) was on the table for Taller. I guess it just shows you how thrown together that album was though.

Some sort of early version of Round Round? Felix Stecher, Severino Spadavecchia and Florian Pflueger were credited on that but weren't on later Xenomania productions.

Pflueger, Spadavecchia and Stecher wrote/produced Tango Forter, the track Round Round was based on. Unless they tried to sample another track from them it's unlikely it's not anything other than an early version of Round Round.

Although with the way Xeno work it could still be two very different songs. The reason I doubt it was an early version of RR tho is because from the stories of how Xeno work the chorus tends to be fixed by the time the girls came into the studio and they then built a track around it. But they did tend to use a lot of different backing tracks to words and generally through a lot at the wall to see what stuck.

 

 

The weird ways of Xenomania so transparent in RR tho, its one of the reasons I love it so much, you can actually hear that its a mix of 4 different tracks. The girls have said they had a chorus and were sent off to corners with a set of backing tracks to write their bits and came back and had all used different ones and thus the chaotic brilliance was born.

I mean, it's possible - Dublex Inc. has a few other tracks from around that time so it might be that they used another one of theirs after Round Round turned out so well. I had never heard of My Life Is... before. First I thought it might be an early version of My Love Is Pink based on the name alone.

Keisha has sadly lost her father. Naturally I expect that things will pause lightly for a few weeks to allow Keisha some time off to mourn and be with family.

Sorry to hear that, but I doubt their schedule is heavy as it is tbh, so her taking a break won't be noticeable.
