I'm quite sure i do :kink:

it's an amazing debut, her follow up had better not let me down - somehow I don't think she'll have any success at all with her second era though :snif:

13. Shakira - Underneath Your Clothes Beautiful song. My favourite of hers without a doubt

Brilliant charts so far. Amazing number 1 in your EOD chart! :D

thanks Jonjo! the first person I think who also loves my end of decade #1  both versions of Heaven are on par for me :D YES, Release Me is that good :kink: funnily enough, I get what you mean about Rule The World - it was originally going to be about #28 but I kept bumping it up after realising that I liked it more than everything from 11-27   a real classic of the decade! Obviously I disagree with Spiller and Shapeshifters but I do agree about Kylie being overrated with her most boring single of the decade :kink: the new CGYOOMH is of course Fight For This Love, which I do love, but 300k in it's first week, seriously!?! interesting to see your album hihglights too, nice to see someone else liking 'Hands' from Boots' album

AMAZING! Especially Cascada!

thanks Jonjo :D I'd completely forgotten how good Right Now was to be honest, I almost wanted to include every song on it in my highlights - it's one of the few albums (over a few years old) that I can look back at the tracklisting and remember every single song off the top of my head! My long term memory is awful

it's an amazing debut, her follow up had better not let me down - somehow I don't think she'll have any success at all with her second era though :snif:

I'll import from Aus if i have too. I'm still happy i managed to grab a copy of the Don't Wanna Go To Bed Now single while i was there.

I'm sure it will get a release here, I just think that the media will ignore her :(

into the top 20, one at a time now seeing as these albums defined my decade with a bit of blurb and a rating for each song :D

20. Alphabeat - This Is Alphabeat - 2008

http://strangeglue.com/files/2008/06/albums/Alphabeat.jpg

1. Fantastic 6 - 9/10

2. Fascination - 10/10

3. 10.000 Nights of Thunder - 10/10

4. Boyfriend - 10/10

5. What Is Happening - 9.5/10

6. Go-Go - 8.5/10

7. Touch Me Touching You - 9/10

8. Rubber Boots - 8.5/10

9. Public Image - 9/10

10. Nothing But My Baby - 8/10

I have the original Danish version of this album too - I couldn't wait for the UK release! - and I love some of the tracks on there too, Ocean Blue and The Hours notably. I found Alphabeat's retro brand of 80's style pop fun and refreshing and this album soundtracked 2008 for me. Loved seeing them live last year too, really energetic and enjoyable performance.

19. Delta Goodrem - Delta - 2007

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ik25cEsfHFw/R6ac_CMpnGI/AAAAAAAAAiY/2DTXjDfnQbY/s320/Delta%20Goodrem%20%C3%A2%E2%82%AC%E2%80%9C%20Delta.jpg

01. Believe Again - Unmarkable - musical perfection - 10 is too low!

02. In This Life - 10/10

03. Possessionless - 9.5/10

04. God Laughs - 8.5/10

05. You Will Only Break My Heart - 9/10

06. The Guardian - 8.5/10

07. Bare Hands - 8.5/10

08. Woman - 8.5/10

09. I Can't Break It To My Heart - 8.5/10

10. Brave Face - 9.5/10

11. One Day - 9/10

12. Angels In The Room - 8.5/10

Not as stunning as the first two albums, Delta Goodrem's third release was nevertheless still an incredibly strong collection. I instantly loved the first three tracks particularly the sensational Believe Again. Everything else too a while longer to grow but I did indeed grow to love every song, Brave Face being the one song that in particular still grows with every listen.

18. Lady GaGa - The Fame/The Fame Monster - 2008/9

http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww185/worldisbar/new/monster2r.jpg

Disc 1

1. Bad Romance - 10/10

2. Alejandro - 9.5/10

3. Monster - 9/10

4. Speechless - 9/10

5. Dance In The Dark - 9/10

6. Telephone - 9.5/10

7. So Happy I Could Die - 8.5/10

8. Teeth - 8/10

Disc 2

1. Just Dance - 9.5/10

2. LoveGame - 8/10

3. Paparazzi - 9.5/10

4. Poker Face - 10/10

5. I Like It Rough - 9/10

6. Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) - 9.5/10

7. Starstruck - 8.5/10

8. Beautiful Dirty Rich - 9/10

9. The Fame - 8.5/10

10. Money Honey - 8/10

11. Boys Boys Boys - 8.5/10

12. Paper Gangsta - 8.5/10

13. Brown Eyes - 7/10

14. Summerboy - 7.5/10

15. Disco Heaven - 7.5/10

16. Again Again - 8.5/10

Combining the two together, between them they have surely been the defining sound of the past 18 months. I wasn't one over by The Fame for months - I first got it in summer 2008 and largely ignored it. The first half is brilliant but it trails off a bit towards the end to say the least. However, nevertheless it's been on nonstop rotation for me all year and The Fame Monster is absolutely incredible, much better than The Fame for me. That alone warranted a top 20 place.

17. Vanessa Amorosi - The Power - 2000

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/lyricwiki/images/thumb/0/00/Vanessa_Amorosi_-_The_Power_(Worldwide).jpg/180px-Vanessa_Amorosi_-_The_Power_(Worldwide).jpg

01. U R Mine - 10/10

02. Absolutely Everybody - 10/10

03. Shine - 10/10

04. I Wanna Be Your Everything - 10/10

05. How Y' Livin - 7.5/10

06. Everytime I Close My Eyes - 9.5/10

07. Pray For Love - 8/10

08. The Power - 9.5/10

09. Steam - 9.5/10

10. Turn To Me - 7.5/10

11. You Were Led On - 9.5/10

12. Have a Look - 9.5/10

13. Get Here - 9/10

Known in the UK as a one hit wonder, I still doubt that Vanessa Amorosi will ever beat her brilliant debut album. A seriously good pop album with three songs slightly below par but everything else being absolutely fantastic. In fact I forget how good the album is, and how vocally incredible she was at 17 years old, until I go back to listen to it. It's a crime that she was a one hit wonder here to be honest.

16. Alice Deejay - Who Needs Guitars Anyway - 2000

1. Back In My Life - 10/10

2. Better Off Alone - 10/10

3. Celebrate Our Love - 10/10

4. The Lonely One - 10/10

5. Who Needs Guitars Anyway? - 9.5/10

6. Will I Ever - 10/10

7. Elements Of Life - 8.5/10

8. Fairytales - 9/10

9. Waiting For Your Love - 9/10

10. No More Lies - 9.5/10

11. I Can See (See It In Your Eyes) - 9.5/10

12. Everything Begins With An E - 9.5/10

13. Got To Get Away - 9.5/10

14. Alice Deejay - 9/10

Sadly the only album ever produced by the Dutch dance act, Alice Deejay struck gold with this release, a shock top ten album in the UK!!! The five singles were perfection for me and they had a load of brilliant album tracks too, a couple of them brilliant instrumentals.

Alphabeat's debut album is SO much better than The Spell. I might include it to my all-time faves as well. Brilliant record.

I have to agree, sadly

I like The Spell but it hardly touches this masterpiece

Delta! It was most definitely the revival she needed and I love it because of that but the album itself is very average. You Will Only Break My Heart, I Can't Break It To My Heart, both entirely different but equally fabulous!

Bit sick of GaGa now, she bigger than like everything! All her songs are just starting to sound the same lol. :(

I think I bought the The Power all those years ago actually, can't recall any of the songs from the album though. I just remember loving Absolutely Everybody sparking a short mini obsession.

my Delta loondom is what put her album as high as that I guess, I'm not going to pretend otherwise - by any other artist, that set of songs, aside from about 4 or 5 incredible songs, would be completely average :heehee:

poor GaGa - I love her more and more these days after initial indifference - it was only really when Poker Face came out as a single that I started to take any notice

Vanessa is a legend in my opinion  I still listen to The Power regularly now, which speaks volumes about how much I like it considering it's nine years old/dated production etc...

Lily Allen

I recently got little voice ^_^

I've just had a Bad Romance craving  Love The Fame, hate tracks 3 adn 7 tho

I have the Alice DeeJay album, you can't beat a bit of late 90s Dance. "Back In My Life" was an amazing song

Mistaken Identity is a little bit higher...should pop up soon ^_^ she NEEDS to release a greatest hits, it would be phenomenal

GaGa is the star of 2009 for me in every way

It would be stunning.

I think she should do it after her 4th album tho, a few more epic track thrown into the ring.

I'd love to see her attempt a proper uptempo
