Posted November 11, 200915 yr Cheryl Cole 'to perform with Snow Patrol' Wednesday, November 11 2009, 13:05 GMT By David Balls, Music Reporter WENN Cheryl Cole will team up with Snow Patrol to perform at the Children In Need charity event in London tomorrow night. The Girls Aloud star is expected to duet with singer Gary Lightbody on Snow Patrol's hit 'Set The Fire To The Third Bar' at the Royal Albert Hall in London. "Everyone doing the gig has to duet with someone. It was like getting a partner at school, and we got the prettiest girl in the class," Lightbody told Spinner. The female vocal on the track was originally recorded by folk singer Martha Wainwright, but Lightbody insisted that he is excited about performing it with Cole. "People have raised an eyebrow now and again when we've mentioned we're doing it with Cheryl Cole but I think it's going to be a really interesting experience," he added. "She said, 'What song do you want to do?' and we said that, and she went away and listened to it. She got back straight away and said, 'Yeah, I'm up for it'. Hats off to her." Robbie Williams is also expected to rejoin his former bandmates Take That for a one-off performance at the event.

November 12, 200915 yr Author I really like the song its not my fave snow patrol song but it is good, im dyinig to see how cheryl's vocal will fit the song.
November 13, 200915 yr Here is the audio, it was played this morning on the Chris Moyles show ! LUjF26ceaaI OMG I love this! I love how she always puts hard work into everything she does so it's close to perfection. She may not be the greatest vocalist of the decade, but she gives emotion and really make it sound great! And there're been lots (and only) positive reviews in the press today! Can't wait for the show to air! Edited November 13, 200915 yr by Bert for Lashes
November 14, 200915 yr Author Im a huge fan of the original and although this is not near as good i still like it and think cheryl did very well.
November 14, 200915 yr That was very good, she really did it justice. I want her to release singles with credible people like this :kink:
November 14, 200915 yr Author by all accounts her performance seems to have gone down very very well, apart from lily allen who just doesnt like cheryl anyhow.
November 19, 200915 yr Amazing performance of 'Fight For This Love'. Can't wait to see 'Set Fire To The Third Bar', it's coming up soon! :D
November 20, 200915 yr Author fight for this love was great but she definitly did not sing all of it live, there was alot more dancing in this performance than the one on x factor, very enjoyable performance and it should add a few xtra thousand sales to the single.

I think she only have a big backing track to support her vocals during the chorus, but she always sings live. At the begining of the "love ain't no walk in the park" line she forgot to sing in her microphone and you can clearly hear the difference. The performance with Snow Patrol was absolutely brillant  I don't want to cause trouble, but if you compare with Leona's performance of "Run" yesterday, Cheryl did a far better job : she was focusing a lot more on her vocals to avoid any mistake, while Leona didn't really do an amazing job last night. I love how Cheryl puts so much hard work into it. As she said during the interview, she knows people are watching to see her fall, so she always delivers the best she can. Edited November 20, 200915 yr by Bert for Lashes

They are clearly very different performers and singers!!! I really loved Cheryls duet with Snow Patrol though. She sounded fantastic live! Maybe that will shut up some of the people who say she cant sing live!!!
November 20, 200915 yr She was f***ing amazing last night!!!!! i loved her lil march at the start of FFTL lol

She sounded fantastic live! Maybe that will shut up some of the people who say she cant sing live!!! Because Leona is typically the kind of singers you would expect to blow you away performance-wise. She has the voice and I wish she would put more efforts into it. Maybe she has performed this song way too many times, cause she didn't really seem into it last night, and there was several out of tune notes. Cheryl on the other end, she's the one you would always expect to fail or to sing out of tune, but in the end she always delivers terrific performances without mistakes, even if yes she isn't be best singer, she always works hard to deliver good performances. Leona only comes on stage, stands up, sings, and goes. It's getting boring now.
November 21, 200915 yr Leona did an amazing job. But you can't really compare them. They're completely different! Anyway the performance again: gMWzanvQkeI The part of the routine I like the best starts at around 4:30  Best part of the whole routine. Including the wave thing Cheryl does. (Hi-10?) Oh and I also thought there was more dancing in the X-Factor performance LOL.
November 21, 200915 yr shame that the vocal carries on when she has the microphone no way near her face at around 2.50-3.00 where it goes "love aint no walk in the park" you hear love, even though the microphones at her waist at the time. Other than that it was a brilliant preformance.
