It's almost as if they wanted this to happen! Why would anyone in their right mind send it out 5 weeks before release?!

Absurd!

Sweet 7 - First Listen Rate [K:] = Keisha Score where applicable.

Get Sexy || 09/10 [K:10] || Keisha did this song better. Jade just doesn't suit it. At least they've finally taken Keisha off the chorus. This should have been left in it's released state. The Sugababes Management really have some nerve.

Wear My Kiss || 08.5/10 [K:9] || Generic, yes. Do i love it? hell yeah. It's generic by numbers. Jade almost does it justice. Still lacks Keisha's tude

About A Girl || 09.5/10 [K:10] || I still don't agree with Jade singing the Red One....Sugababes bit. Album version is a bit better than the single version. Glad to hear Amelle on the Oooooohs on the chorus. The Amelle/Heidi middle 8 is still the best part of the song

Wait For You || 7.5/10 [K:10] || What has Jade done to WFY? I love the Keisha version of the song soooooooooooo much. Something else Jade's voice doesn't really suit. :( This is not going well. I am really not looking forward to the next track....... She just slaughters this

Thank You For The Heartbreak || 7/10 [K:1000000000000000 - My fave track of all time] || Yet again, sub par. And this is not some bitter ramblings from a 2.0 loon. The chorus is alright. She is meh at the bridge. The Ad-libs are nowhere near Keisha's and what she's done to the middle 8 is undescribable. Slaugher doesn't cover it. The post middle 8 ad-libs by Jade are better tho

Miss Everything || 10/10 [K:9.5] || FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!! Something she hasn't killed. I actually think she's done a better job than Keisha on this one.

Verdict Keisha 6 ---- So out of the first 6, we have 1 improvement, 2 near misses, a murder, a slaughter and then we have what she did to TYFTH. She's A Mess better be good.....

She's A Mess || 10000000000000000/10 || About fucking time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Exactly why i worship the ground Amelle walks on. If this doesn't get a release next i will personally murder Mark Hargreaves. Everybody go mad everybody go psycho = best Sugaline of all time. Best Sugababes track ever????

Give It To Me Now || 10/10 || STUNNING! Back Down 2.0 much? I adored back down. this could be incredible on tour. put your money where your mouth is

Crash & Burn || 10/10 || I was hoping this would be a club banger, but i will take a damn good mid tempo. It took one song [NYG] for me too fall for Amelle. She's A Mess and GITMN made up for TYFTH, this has made me fall in love  fantastic. Easily the best back end of an album since Three. TIMW back end only grew on me after a long time, i hated Ace Reject till late 2008.

No More You || 15/10 || I have been waiting this since the live clip with baited breath. 4 stunning tracks in a row. Amelle just owns, and Jade shines. She really suits this. Better than the K/H live version by far. This is why i love the Sugababes. STUNNING ballads. This is just amazing, easily in their top10 ballads.

Sweet & Amazing || 10/10 || We've have Back Down 2.0, this sounds like Back When 2.0 from the start. My emo flatmate will hate the cutesy lyrics but this is stunning. I'm over using this word. Jade is amazing once again and in the space of 6tracks has gone from being on the receiving end of my first murder to being my second fave current babe [4th overall] Not even Amelle pulled off that kind of recovery.

Little Miss Perfect || 10/10 || Sensational opening, and then that Amelle chorus  What a way to finish the album. They best not add any tracks after this. Even if they deluxe it, this should be the last track. This Jade/Amelle ballad combination is working so well. An acoustic of this on the tour would be perfect. Completely perfect

Verdict Back 6 ---- Fuck me. The strongest back end to any Sugababes album. She's A Mess is a club hit/#1 waiting to happen. The Ballads are stunning and Crash & Burn doesn't disappoint.

Album Verdict 9.5/10

Would have been the Three beater i predicted it could be had Keisha not gone. However, a Keisha/Jade Hybrid [i.e. what i'm making for the car] is a Three beater.

With or without Keisha this is the best album since TIMW. The Babes are back.

Absurd!

The sampler was sent out a fortnight ago.

Absolutely LOVING this album.

I only clicked with WFY the other day but instantly prefer Jade's.

Oh and Jade makes Thank You. I was so disappointed with the studio version of Keisha's version. This is far superior.

A great mix of tunes on here. :D

Would someone send me a link please? I can only find the leak with Keisha on google. :)

My thoughts:

Get Sexy : 4.5/10 - Keisha's version was already fairly average and Jade just does not fit on this song at all. The added 'no' sounds like a constipated robot.

Wear My Kiss : 7.5/10 - A nice catchy pop song but generic as f***, not overly fussed with either version.

About A Girl : 7/10 - Same as above ^

Wait For You : 4/10 - A mess of a song, not good at all.

Thank You For The Heartbreak : 6.5/10 - Nice verses, nice middle 8, chorus lets it down.

Miss Everything - 8/10 - Finally, an actual GOOD song. Of course its basically Sean Kingston ft. "Sugababes", but it's still a good track.

She's A Mess - 2/10 - What an aptly named song. Awfulawfulawful. The rap, the mess of the chorus, Amelle's WEIRD posh british accent..

Give It To Me Now - 8/10 - Another great pop track

Crash & Burn - 10/10 - Wow. What a brilliant ballad, really love their vocals on this.

No More You - 11/10 - Even better

Sweet & Amazing 8.5/10 - Same again, a very good ballad indeed.

Little Miss Perfect - 8/10 - A bit of a dreary ballad but still good, storng chorus.

Overall rating - 7/10

So Jade's vocals clearly only properly work in a ballad, why they didnt realease one before the album when they're so much better is beyond me.

Is a it a good album? Yes.

Is it a nice pop album? Yes.

Is it a Sugababes album? No.

Thank You For The Heartbrak - 8/10 - Finally, a good song. Of course its basically Sean Kingston ft. "Sugababes", but it's still a good track.

wrong song James :kink:

Oh lol, I got mixed up :kink:

Brilliant album. :) Only songs I'm not keen on are Miss Everything (nobody cares about Sean Kingston and it's ridiculous he does the chorus) and She's A Mess (more like this song's a mess.)

Love Thank You For The Heartbreak. I was very underwhelmed when I first heard it with Keisha but Jade sounds amazing on it. Sorry but she killed Keisha's middle 8 (in a good way) IMO. No More You and Little Miss Perfect are my other favourites where they all sound brilliant vocally.

07.5 Get Sexy - An 8 with Keisha on. Jade's vocals have much less impact here. However I always did like this song more than most people and I still think it's a lot of fun.

07.5 Wear My Kiss - This is probably the first time I've appreciated this song. Jade's "when I aim, everybody hit the floor" is so rubbish compared with Keisha's but the song has a real sense of fun, even with that $h!tty production.

08.0 About A Girl - Oh my goodness, what's wrong with me? I'm loving this again! It's very good when you forget that Keisha's chorus is much more melancholic. Amelle's vocal on this song really is terrible though...

07.5 Wait For You - This is a really strange one. Is the music different from the version on the sampler? Fuzzier? I do like it mind you, that 'rewind' bit between chorus one and verse two aside. Definitely Jade's best vocal so far. Amelle's adlibs throughout should be removed though.

06.5 Thankyou For The Heartbreak - Finally a song where their vocals aren't hidden beneath layers of fuzzy production. Jade sounds good, the verses and middle 8 are wonderful. However... that chorus (and the bridge into it) is just the WORST. What a dreadful, FLAT melody. Lets the song down completely.

07.0 Miss Everything - Hard to judge since they pretty much take a back seat to Sean Kingston but despite being ultra-generic I DO like it. Just a fun club song I guess. Not a Sugababes song but still enjoyable.

03.0 She's A Mess - Wow. What a TURD. I don't know where to start but I guess Amelle's rap is as good a place as any. Is she suddenly a member of The Streets? I've rarely been so embarassed listening to a song. This must be by the same people as Get Sexy since it's basically an inferior, messier clone of that.

07.5 Give It To Me Now - I'm quite enjoying this! Sort of throwback-y/retro but at the same time, not. It's like 4.0 doing a Change album track. Very lightweight and enjoyable.

08.0 Crash & Burn - I see they've gone down the Tedder clone route with this one. It's actually nice to have a song with fewer vocal effects and some sort of focus on a melody. This has definitely potential as a single - it treads the line between ballad and midtempo very nicely. Instrumental bit is a bit twee and $h!t but hey ho.

08.0 No More You - Very much generic Stargate but the middle 8 is uplifting and Jade's vocals are pretty heartfelt. I like the slightly ridiculous lyrics too. Shame about Amelle's sodding adlibs but there you go.

07.5 Sweet & Amazing - Oh my goodness - this feels like old school Sugababes! Okay, maybe not so much old school but it would certainly have been a highlight of Change had it been on that album. The lyrics are painfully bad to the extent that they're actually amusing but somehow it all works.

07.0 Little Miss Perfect - My main gripe with this it that the chorus is very awkward. The verses on the other hand are lovely and the production, whilst very 'Unfaithful', is also very pretty. Heidi sounds wonderful. A satisfying closer.

Sweet 7: 7/10 (appropriately). It's an album of two halves, the latter half being more 'Sugababes' in feel. She's A Mess should certainly have been excluded. The best song is probably Crash & Burn which is about as good as Tedder-lite big-drummed midtempos come and would be a hit at radio. Release it next girls.

Other musings:

-The style of the album, surprisingly, suits Heidi's vocals far more than it suits Amelle's. She can't adlib to save her life. She should stop trying. And where has all of her clarity gone? Jade shows her up. I don't like admitting it but Jade for the most part sounds great on here.

-Much better than I expected.

Brilliant album. :) Only songs I'm not keen on are Miss Everything (nobody cares about Sean Kingston and it's ridiculous he does the chorus) and She's A Mess (more like this song's a mess.)

Couldn't agree with you more.

Really nice to hear Amelle singing higher on Little Miss Perfect. She should do it more often. :)

Hate for She's A Mess lol. It's so bad it's actually amazing! Amelle is proper LOL incredible on it

Psycho! :D

I don't get the She's A Mess hate.

Perhaps it's gonna be like Back Down; something i f***ing love and most people hate.

I can't find it - can someone send me the link please?

same here :( please can I have a link?

edit: never mind, found it.
