I literally cannot even put into words what Jade does to this song... She takes a beautiful, poignant song about having to say goodbye to a lover and absolutely RAPES it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Violent, bloody, painful, merciless RAPE! Her voice sounds as soulless as the group has become. Her part's during Kiesha's second verse are absolutely atrocious. Kiesha's version makes me cry because of how sad and beautiful the song is at the same time. Jade's cover makes me cry because it feels like my ears are being raped.

Jade's interpretation of Keisha's bits in the 1st and 2nd chorus are soulless. Kiesha's bridge shows Jade doing pretty ok, until that horrendous "so happyyyyyy" and that "baby" is so retarded. And then there's the adlibs. They're well sung but Jade fails to deliver the parts with the passion that Keisha does

Jade fails to give Keisha's lines any personality. Like most of the other covers EXCEPT Wait For You, she sings Keisha's parts well, but there's no passion, personality, attitude or life in her voice.

Lovely song! The chorus is a bit of a letdown but the verses make up for it. Keisha would have totally owned this song. The verses sound like they were made for her which is ironic because Keisha never recorded this song did she?

BEAUTIFUL song! Sounds really familiar but it doesn't matter Amelle's second verse is so good! And the chorus! so good. I'm glad they restrict Beige to her irrelevant middle 8 in both this and Crash and Burn. They should keep this formula for all the songs. Probably would have been a 10 with Keisha.

WOW!!! This song is amazing. Even Beige sounds good on it. Jade's verse is also amazing, but i suspect judging by the sampler/album comparison that Keisha would have done it better. Loves Jade and Amelle on the last chorus!! Their voices go really well together. And I'm glad Jade is able to convey some emotion at last!

I will listen to this again later; it's not actually a bad album and Im quite surprised. I wouldnt say it's amazing, because the lead singles (BOTH versions) are fairly average, but the ballads are where they perform really well, especially Jade. It's a good pop album and while some of the latter half has a sugababes feel to it I still do not class this a real Sugababes album.

Btw, everybody has that 160k version or there is a version with the better quality? If there is, could you send me a link please?

Get Sexy – 6/10 – I was never a huge fan of Get Sexy anyway, at one point I hated it but I’d say its grown back on me now. I’d say the Keisha version is slightly better, if only because its suits her better.

 

Wear My Kiss – 10/10 – Suprisingly, this is actually my favourite of the three singles id say. Not heard Keisha’s version but Jade does indeed sound great on this one.

 

About A Girl – 10/10 –Love it. I did rather get bored with it rather quickly, but its still a great pop song imo. A classic Sugababes single.

 

Wait For You – 7.5/10 – Nice. Perhaps a bit weak when compared to the majority of the album though.

 

Thank You For The Heartbreak – 8/10 – Perhaps a bit of a let-down considering how strong it sounded from the live performances. Still a strong enough song though.

 

Miss Everything – 8/10 – Enjoyable. Clearly way too Sean Kingston on this song though.

 

She’s A Mess – 7.5/10 – Love the Amelle rap :lol: It’s so bad, it’s brilliant.

 

Give It To Me Now – 8.5/10 – Ooooh, liking this. I can see it growing a bit more aswell.

 

Crash & Burn – 10/10 – Gotta love a great Sugababes mid-tempo. Brilliant vocals aswell, in particular from Jade.

 

No More You – 9/10 – Again. Brilliant. Jade in particular shines on this. Not Amelle’s greatest moment admittedly.

 

Sweet & Amazing – 10/10 – I always seem to love the cheesy Sugababes songs aswell, Back When was my favourite album track from Change :lol: Love this!

 

Little Miss Perfect – 8/10 – A nice way to close the album. Not quite as strong as the last few songs

 

 

Overall

9/10. I was actually expecting an album filled with Get Sexy’s and About A Girl’s, and much to my delight, the albums best tracks are actually the mid-tempos at the end of the album, alongside Wear My Kiss and About A Girl.

Definatly the best Sugababes album in years, after a few more listens, who knows, maybe the best since the amazing Three. Jade has done an amazing job here, and surely anyone who had doubts about her being a good replacement will be shutting up now :P

Get Sexy - 9.5/10 I love this and its one of my fave ever first singles from them, but I do prefer the Keisha version ever so slightly

Wear My Kiss - 9/10 this has grew on me alot recently, and I like both Keisha and Jade versions equally.

About A Girl - 10/10 just amazing, and again I love both versions

Wait For You - 7.5/10 after first Jade listen, I think I prefer Jades actually, think this will grow on me alot though

Thankyou For The Heartbreak - 9.5./10 I love both versions, but I'm a sucker for big notes and Jade makes it amazing for me. has to be next single!

Miss Everything - 8/10 considering this has one of my worst artists ever on it, its really good, still wish there was less of him

She's A Mess - 8/10 there is parts I love on this but parts that are just weird, ie. Amelles accent. think I will grow to love it soon though

I dont doubt she does a good job on some tracks, and that she is an extremely talented vocalist. The point is, the choice of her as a 'good replacement' was RIDICULOUS because her style is so different to Keisha's. The Amelle > Mutya transfer worked, because they have fairly similar styles, but Jade is a completley different type of vocalist and can actually sing, so sounds odd against Amelle and Heidi on alot of tracks and doesnt fitin where Keisha did. Look at what shes done to Get Sexy. Abysmal.

I'm not actually that keen on this album, after loving 'Get Sexy', 'About a Girl' and 'Wait For You'.

Jade does a pretty great job imo though. She's obviously going to sound different to Keisha, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. 'Wait For You' was by far my favourite song from the 6 leaked songs and Jade's version is just as good. Her part before the second chorus is definitely one of the highlights of the album. :wub:

 

The only 'new' song I really like is 'She's a Mess', just because it's so wonderfully odd to think that it's Sugababes! Love Amelle's rap parts so much! :heehee:

Out of the ballads, the only one I'm really keen on is 'No More You'. The chorus of 'Crash & Burn' sounds FAR too much like the chorus of 'No Air' (a song I've always despised).
