Coming back with a bang?

 

After one year iamamiwhoami are back. Yes, this is the first in Elëdan's history. The nation is recycling one of their previous entrants with the hope that a clean slate (this is the 51st contest for us - beginning of another era) will change something and history will forever forget the ear-raping blood-boiling diarrhea-inducing salt-in-the-wounds-sensation-causing 'Dragonette' shit that won in BJSC43 over Jonna and her band having accumulated the same amount of points but losing a tie.

 

'Dragonette' were the second musical act to have been banned from Elëdan (the first artist is Anna Abreu). Their (and Abreu's) status in this country is 'unwanted terrorist' which means anyone is allowed to shoot them on sight on the territory of Elëdan without any repercussions to the person / group of people who shoot at them.

When I saw the confirmation list during the week I was like "WHO ELSE!". I've never been a fan of the Bounty songs, but I'll make the effort för dig.

So Elëdan sent a classical music composition to the BJSC55 hosted by Skall after Postiljonen won. 't' by iamamiwhoami finished 10th with 112 points having even been in the lead for the first few votes.

 

This month is the first time anyone sent classical music to the contest in 55 editions. Elëdan now hold a record for entering the oldest composition (it is 103 years old).

 

The country will be taking risks much more often than before.

 

Viewership of BJSC in Elëdan is only down 6% since 2008 (the peak - it's been estimated that an average of 92% of people watched the final of BJSC11) so it's hardly going to affect ratings.

 

The country is famous for taking risks (Variation of Birds, Ljósið, A Throne Without a King Pt 2, Fjøllini standa úti).

 

You left out "Boy Is A Bottom" as one of your risk entries. :D

Oh I didn't think it was THAT risky. After all it is basically Alicia Keys' song haha.

It's not so much a risk as actually a good song. Although I suppose for Eledan entering something that is even listenable is a bit of a 'risk'. :kink:

i mean it's all very well entering classical music but you could have at LEAST gone for something good like.
