Yesterday Cut Copy became the 59th act and Meet Me In a House of Love the 60th song that won BJSC. The entire country of Elëdan have come out of their homes to celebrate. Cut Copy are the second Australian winner Elëdan had since BJSC11 and Lenka a little more than 5 years ago. Since Lenka the Australian winners have been the, despite the ë in the name, atrocious Zoë Badwi, terrible Jessica Mauboy and, worst of them all, Ricki-Lee even if she shares part of her name with the Queen Jonna Lee.

 

Cut Copy have already been branded the best winners of all-times having scored 192 points breaking the official record for points in Elëdan previously held by Stoffer & Maskinen, 9th in BJSC26, and iamamiwhoami, 2nd in BJSC43.

 

Elëdan's 12 points went to the runner-up, Hate or Glory (at that moment misleadingly undermining chances of Cut Copy to win) so the final result has been particularly enjoyable for the country. Queen Jonna Lee issued an official SRY NOT SRY about Elëdan being the fifth country JUST THIS YEAR (Kylienips and Batidas (RIP) in UP11 and 12 respectively, Aeroche earlier this year in BJSC51 and greedy Trifoski in BJSC56) to stand between N DNTN and winning, through her facebook account, followed by the :'( smiley face and 'Hate or Glory' Youtube video.

 

It's not yet been confirmed if Elëdan will be able to host BJSC61 in January.

1987 is a bit NICHE so I can understand but what is wrong with you (play at 2:17. multiple times if necessary).

God Disclosure in that mix from around 7:30. It's making me go insane and when you're in a library that is not good help.
