December 4, 200915 yr Lol you having a laugh? I think we'll get through easily, USA in second place. Indeed, as is anyone thinks a side who has lost their last two fixtures at home to Denmark & Slovakia; or got "wiped out" at home against Mexico "five-zip" within the last 12 months will beat England in the group. Certainly, anyone who follows English football in the UK would know that the media or the public would not tolerate a manager staying in charge of the national team with the same results. Oh, and what is the nationality of the player who won the Man of The Match Award in the 2009 MLS Cup Final despite being on the losing side who will be nothing more than an impact substitute at the 2010 WC Finals (if he is indeed selected) by his nation?
December 4, 200915 yr Why? :???: What do you mean why? I don't want England to win, simple as that. I want anyone but England but preferably the great mighty Brazil. There's no law saying you have to support your country of birth is there? For personal reasons I happen to not like my home country so always am delighted when we get beaten at football or an English tennis player gets beaten at Wimbledon. :D Edited December 4, 200915 yr by Crazy Chris-Tmas
December 4, 200915 yr I've just gone from Last 16, only difference to others is I think Uruguay might go through 2nd in Group A and Denmark in E, I reckon it will be: Last 16 France v Greece England v Serbia Netherlands v Paraguay Brazil v Chile Argentina v Uruguay Germany v USA Italy v Denmark Spain v Ivory Coast Quarters France v England Netherlands v Brazil Argentina v Germany Italy v Spain Semis England v Brazil Germany v Spain Final Brazil v Spain Not sure why but I've got a feeling Brazil will win it, and I also think England can beat France.
December 4, 200915 yr England should win the group quite easily with USA second. England have a good chance to pass second round, that's if we don't play France The group of death is G, D is pretty obvious who the 2 qualifiers will be Brazil and Ivory Coast
December 4, 200915 yr My predictions of the group's order A South Africa France Mexico Uruguay B Argentina Greece Nigeria South Korea C England Slovenia USA Algeria D Germany = Serbia = Ghana Can't decide  Australia E Netherlands Cameroon Denmark Japan F Italy Slovakia Paraguay New Zealand G Brazil Portugal Côte D'Ivoire North Korea H Spain Switzerland Chile Honduras Maybe i underestimate the asia countries too much but I only think they did well in '02 because of the home territory, which is why I have SA as top of group A, and also because France arent too hot either :P Edited December 4, 200915 yr by CianS
December 4, 200915 yr Author Don't write South Africa out. For the sake of being the host country, probably the referees may pull them through like they did with Korea in 2002.
December 4, 200915 yr The England v USA match concerns me as it will surely now be the Islamic loons top target to attack, and I can't see security being up to scratch...
December 4, 200915 yr ^^ I think the host nation will be rock bottom of their group, I don't think they are a strong team, and Argentina will struggle to qualify, they were lucky to even qualify for the tournament.

I know nobody likes terrorists but calling them 'Islamic Loons' is a bit far as you're basically implying Islamic Fundamentalists are the only people who are out to cause trouble and youre also kind of generalising on all muslims there. I could go into a rant but instead I'm just going to report your post and await your reply with big words from the dictionary :)

December 4, 200915 yr Buzzjack's original wind-up merchant is back, in action again, embarrassing himself yet again.   Islamic fundamentalists, such as Al-Qaeda and aligned groups, are the only terrorist outfits that are active with worldwide coverage. A simple fact I'm afraid little James. <_< Edited December 4, 200915 yr by Ethan.
December 5, 200915 yr Why are you all saying that Germany has a hard group? I think Germany has one of the easiest. The group of death is definately Group G and a bit Group B. All others have 2 clear qualifiers, IMO. Too bad that France and Italy have such easy groups. :/ Edited December 5, 200915 yr by zechhh

All others have 2 clear qualifiers, IMO. Too bad that France and Italy have such easy groups. :/ Well you may be in for a shock then if Germany slip up. Serbia have a good team and play good football, they also have some promising youngsters. Ghana are probably the second best African nation at the moment, and they showed great spirit in 2006. Australia could even cause problems as they have a number of players who play in top leagues.
December 5, 200915 yr Germany have a difficult group. Ghana are no mugs at all, they're a very decent time, definitely one of the teams I wouldn't want to face in the group stages. Serbia have always been a strong side, and Australia are a good team. Germany should, and most likely will qualify, but all the other teams can quite easily take points off each other so it's a very interesting group. Not quite as tough (on paper) as Brazil's group but still...
December 5, 200915 yr People forget that USA gave Brazil a much tougher game than we did in the Confederations Cup which they probably should have won! I'll do my predictions when I have time later.

This isn't really related to sport, but if you don't like the country you're in, fook off. You should remember though that much as this country has it's flaws, you get bloody well treated here. Most other countries out there wouldn't put up with your workshy crap for a minute. On sport, I like the look of England's group, but am a bit fearful of the second round - Germany the boogy team, Serbia the dark horse, and Australia who beat us last time we played did they not?
December 5, 200915 yr So many people are fancying Spain yet again but they never seem to live up to expectations in the WC.
