My Predictions:

Joe - Patience & Your Song

think he could get the high Patience notes really well - and your song, fitt

Lloyd - Shine & I'm Still Standing :P

because of how everyone thinks he should be gone

Olly - Pray & Something About The Way You Look Tonight

love both songs - kinda more hopes with this one

Stacey - Could It Be Magic & I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues

ala Leona and Suzanne - can work for girls (Louis' rules would moan about Barry Manilow as well, they need to get that in there every week)

Danyl - Relight My Fire & Candle In The Wind

going for the votes with crowd pleasers

Patience was a truly Vickers' song, don't want anybody have it :heehee: Joe will sing it fantastically tho.
John & Edward are performing at my uni on December 14th

 I hope they do 'Oops I Did It Again' with the speaking parts added in.

I'm not sure, but I think I just heard on GMTV, I only just caught the end though, that Simon Cowell's first choice for the winners single is Don't Stop Believing - Journey. He so wants Joe to win if it's true ^_^

And the second choice is a song by Miley Cyrus, I heard that much.

If either of those songs are the winner's song for Xmas then it's just taking the p*** YOU CANNOT RUIN A CLASSIC LIKE DON'T STOP BELIVIN'!
Simon Cowell 'picks winner's song for Joe'

Simon Cowell has reportedly picked a track already performed by finalist Joe McElderry as this year's winner's song.

The X Factor judge is said to have chosen Journey's 1981 hit Don't Stop Believin' as the winning act's single - a song which Joe performed during Rock Week.

His decision has led to speculation that he believes the 18-year-old will triumph in the final, reports The Sun.

The second choice for the winner's song is The Climb from the Hannah Montana movie, which is being considered if it looks like Stacey Solomon may beat Joe in the final.

A source told the paper: "It is getting to the crucial stages now and Simon and the producers are very confident that Joe could be the winner. He made a great fist of Don't Stop Believin' and that has helped.

"It's always a difficult call choosing the song, especially as there are some very different talents in the final line-up."

They added: "Danyl and Olly really think they can win. They will be shocked to learn the winner's song is one Joe has already performed.

'Hallelujah' worked imo. Apparently it's not necessarily for a "Joe Win" because they all had a meeting and discussed the songs that could be chosen. Surely Danyl and Olly would have said something about it, and surely Simon wouldn't want to risk his own acts? Anyway I think Olly and Danyl would have no problem with DSB, yeah it probably won't be as good as Joe's, but they'll do decently with it. But I really hope it isn't 'The Climb' for the simple fact it's a ballad. :arrr:
Nah I don't think it's picked for Joe at all. Simon Cowell just probably saw the reaction to that song, and also that it is an ANTHEM and thought he'd jump on the bandwagon. Also it's a pretty meaningul song for the X Factor I suppose. Olly and Danyl would have no problems with it and Stacey would probably be the same. It's not exactly a hard song to sing, but yeah it's definitely gonna be portrated as wanting a Joe win now which may or may not be true.
Jamelia has admitted that she has stopped watching The X Factor after John & Edward were voted off on Sunday.

The popstar had been following this year's series closely, but became disillusioned with the show after all of her favourite contestants were eliminated.

"First they booted out Rachel and I was like, 'Come on, you're taking the p**s aren't you?'. Then they booted out Lucie so weirdly enough my favourites became Jedward. Then they got booted out!" she told DS.

"After that I was like, 'Oh forget it, I'm not bothered who wins now and I'm not watching'. I mean, don't get me wrong, I think Stacey's really good, but the show just doesn't interest me at all now. I'll wait for next year!"

However, the 28-year-old singer, who will appear as a judge on BBC3's dance talent hunt Move Like Michael Jackson next month, praised the X Factor finalists for releasing a cover of Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone' in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

"They can all sing, I'll give them that, and it's all for a good cause. My daughter is bugging me to buy it! Hopefully they are actually giving all the proceeds to the charity they say they're giving it to, so I wish them all the best of luck," she said.

As for the winners song, meh, they'll all do fine with it. I just dont understand why they can't write an original track like they did for 'That's My Goal'? It would just be SO much better... I mean, Chico got an original song written for him and that wasnt even for the semis let alone the final or a winners song!

This is much easier to record an already written and well known song, in case nobody likes the one that would be the new song. :heehee:

^ I hate Simon Cowell part 5372.

How dare he. It would be like last year's winning song for Alexandra Burke being Lady GaGa's Just Dance, talk about raining on the parade and stopping a US phenomenon breaking big in the UK as planned in 2010 in one foul sweep.

You can guarantee whoever wins wont even come remotely close to the brilliance of this:

Glee - Don't Stop Believin' (2009 USA#4)

'That's My Goal' was the biggest selling X Factor winners single at 1.1 million until Hallelujah came along (and thats only just beat it at 1.14).

I know, but it's all different now, I see why Simon does this but definitely do not approve it -_-

I liked it on Fame Academy when they wrote their own songs <3.

Shame Fame Academy as a whole was so overlooked. :(

Why does this have any relation to Glee?! It's nothing like covering "Just Dance". This song is over 25 years old and a pretty well known classic that hangs around our top 200. No one is going to think "Why is this show using an X Factor song?" and it's not going to stop them watching it.

I don't think it's set to make it that big in the UK anyway, E4 is hardly ITV1.

This is perfect for Joe, considering he said last week that it was his favourite performance, but it doesn't exactly hinder the other contestants. (apart from, maybe, Stacey)

I have to agree with Aaron...I don't know anyone who doesn't already know Don't Stop Believin'...

also, I've obviously been sucked in by Mr Cowell because I am eagerly awaiting the prospect of Joe winning this show and that being his winner's single, I thought his rendition of that song (and everything else he sings) was fantastic

it would seem odd Cheryl winning again though...especially as her category had looked so weak from the outset, I guess I didn't have anywhere near enough faith in Joe at the start but he's been the best throughout for me

I have to up you i'm afraid. :kink: I found the following version far better than Glee's (admittedly good) version.

Sam Tsui - Don't Stop Believin' (This guy needs a record deal. Seriously. His version of Leona Lewis' version of 'Run' is immense!)
