Well, the close of the decade is upon us (jesus effing christ, I can remember leaving the 90s!)

So what are your personal favorite top ten dance anthems of the decade? By all means, you can go beyond ten, but I'm keeping it simple (ie I can't be arsed)!

10: Blaze Featuring Barbara Tucker "Most Precious Love" (Freemasons Vocal Mix)

How can you go wrong when you couple the lungs of Tucker and the titanic sized production credentials of Freemasons? Not very... amazing piano hook too! (Piano's are a bit of a theme in this run)

09: Tillmann Uhrmacher "On The Run"

The 'beefa trance sound had by this point died down yet I thought this was amongst the best of the trance/crasher era, very ahead of its time I think

08: Fedde Le Grand vs Camille Jones "The Creeps"

I have been on awe of Fedde since "...Detroit" and I think he goes from strength to strength, this was proof he was no one trick pony. Certainly one of the most addictive tracks of the decade.

07: Who Da Funk "Shiny Disco Balls"

Amzing spikey disco house, about 5 years ahead of its time! DISCO!... DISCO!... DISCO!... DISCO!

06: The Ones "Flawless"

Sugary, French-esqu house. The less said about George Michaels version, the better...

05: M+S "Salsou Nugget"

Proper party track, had this on repeat for ooooh about a year!

< No clip - sorry! >

04: Praise Cats "Shined On Me"

Not the tinny sounding radio version, you need the full 8 odd minutes of the original... when that piano kicks in, I literally tremble! I've lost myself to this track a few times.

03: Fedde Le Grand vs Ida Corr "Let Me Think About It"

2 years on and I'm still overwhelmed by this track, still sounds like absolutely like nothing else and was a surprise hit at a time when mainstream dance music is taking a exit (and is still heading for that door 2 years on sadly).

02: Solu Music "Fade"

Not the piano-heavy version that charted a few years back (though that was perfectly fine), it's all about this sublime bit of modern soul music. Rarely do I get as moved as I do when this comes on, just gorgeous in every way possible.

01: Soul Central Ft Kathy Brown "Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own)"

For, this is the ULTIMATE vocal house anthem of this decade! It has EVERYTHING! BIG piano, funky drum kick and almighty wailing diva declaring her independence. I couldn't even tell you the mess I've been in when this is played out!

Pure sheer class and a shame is was never the number one it was tipped at the time.

very house heavy list! my favourite there is On The Run, which I have always loved and found was very underrated

10 Platnum - Love Shy

It got a hell of a lot of stick when it was released but oh, I really love this remix, more-so than the original. I seem to dance like a maniac when this comes on up town!

09 Ultrabeat - Sure Feels Good

"Close your eyes, and hold on tight". First of two ultrabeat entries. This song was an instant club classic when it was released. And even though it failed to light up the charts, it was a massive favorite of mine and a lot of my mates.

08 Fedde Le Grand - Creeps

Absolute classic, belting. One of the best club anthems of the decade!

07 Lisa Abbott - Blow Me Away

The first time I heard this was in a friends car a few years back, before it hit the clubs. It was just another average dance tune for me at the time but the first time I heard it in a club I fell deeply in love, the song has a back-story with and ex of mine and myself too.

06 Nalin & Kane - Cruisin'

O-M-G. I think I first heard this clubbing whilst on holiday in Benidorm and wow, it truly was the song of the summer for me.

05 Sweet Female Attitude - Flowers

Only today did I rediscover this song and wow, I can't believe I'd forgotton how blown away I was by this when it was first released. A truly ground-breaking and uplifting track.

04 Robin S - Show Me Love 2009

Another classic, and the 2009 version is the best yet for me. With rumours of a 2010 remake, I wonder what they'll do with it this time. Love!

03 Fedde Le Grand - Let Me Think About It

The babes in the video remind me of Beyonce in the third Austin Powers film. Not only is this my second favourite dance anthem from the decade, it's one of my all-time favourite songs. I absolutely (and still do) adored this upon release, and it has over 300 plays on my iTunes!

02 Ultrabeat- Elysium

C L A S S I C - I've used that word a lot haven't I? It's hard not to though. :P Another absolute favourite of mine that I still can't get enough of even today. By far the best piece of music Ultrabeat have ever produced!

01 Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008

One word, epic. This song truly is the clubbers anthem of the decade, and there isn't a night out I've had where I haven't heard this. I absolutely love it!

Thanks for reading! ^_^

Just no Hits, no. :(

You didn't even spell it correctly. Robyn disowns you. :(

I feel ashamed. :drama:

From my personal chart:

'With Every Heartbeat' (224 pts)

'When Love Takes Over' (227 pts)

There were just 3 points in it. :( In saying that, those 20 songs really should be in a different order - my personal chart in 2004 was so fast paced that songs dropped out as soon as they entered. Despite getting to no. 1 in my chart, 'Lola's Theme' had a really short lived chart run which is why it ranks 20th yet is one of my fave dance tracks of all time. In 2007, my chart took a stable approach allowing for decent chart runs to reflect in the end of year charts. So I'd re-rank those 20 songs as follows:

01. Robyn with Kleerup - With Every Heart

02. David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over

03. Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme

04. Groove Armada feat. Mutya Buena - Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control)

05. David Guetta Vs The Egg - Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)

06. Rogue Traders - Voodoo Child

07. Booty Luv - Boogie 2Nite

08. Infernal - From Paris To Berlin
