It does, but it was to my understanding that Jay-Z has much higher airplay... I don't think that is the case any more, so yeah, it's pretty much a battle of Jay-Z vs. Ke$ha

That's only the pop panel of airplay, there are lots of other panels such as Rhythmic and Urban where Jay Z is ahead. For the Hot 100 then all of the panels are combined and instead of measuring airplay by spins (plays) then it's measured in audience impressions (the amount of people who heard the song).

 

In Audience then Jay Z has around 125 million impressions while Ke$ha and GaGa have around 80, with GaGa just ahead.

 

With Ke$ha & GaGa still gaining on airplay whereas Jay Z is peaking, then for the next Hot 100 Ke$ha & GaGa will have to outsell Jay Z by about 40k which looks very likely for Ke$ha.

 

I think next week the Hot 100 will be Ke$ha #1, Jay Z #2 & GaGa #3
