I seriously doubt this is true, as it is a pity they did not DSQ the UK's biggest selling single of all time Elton John's Candle In The Wind '97 when some people were buying multiples of 10 or more of the maudlin track.

The OCC would not disqualify a song that's involved in the biggest chart battle of recent times. That goes for both Joe and Rage.

oh... for crying out loud this is getting stupid now, I can't see them pulling both tracks, or any tracks whatsoever, it just be a waste of time. Why would they, I'm sure its just a wind up to stir things up....

I don't like 'The Climb', but there is no way that The OCC would 'ban' it from the Charts,

because some people are buying several copies.

 

You can buy as many copies of a Single, (or Album), as you like. I recall seeing people

buying huge armfuls of Oasis's 'Be Here Now' Album in 1997, & the Elton John 'Diana'

Single, the same Year. They were even shown buying them on the TV News - filmed in

HMV etc.

The whole OCC thing is crap...I'm sure they understand that it is impossible to enforce the ban on multiple purchases otherwise they would probably have to disqualify every top ten single from recent times! I'm pretty sure you could find at least one occasion where someone has bought a copy for themselves and one for a friend/relative/whatever for most tracks...

The opening sentence in ungrammatical. I think they mean "An official linked with the OCC". That leads me to conclude that it is probably a fake.

if multiple copies of an album are purchased together it only counts as one sale anyway, so stop being bitter about JLS's sales yes they are p***ing all over alex, cheryl, leona even robbie but theres no need to be an arse.
