December 19, 200915 yr Here lads... You may wish RATM to be banned because of multiple purchases. But consider... where is the proof?? Take a look at this: :D Quote: 'An official link with the UK Official Charts company has released a statement today that Joe's single in serious risk of being pulled from the charts. Photographic evidence of people buying multiple copies of the single could grant the single as being dropped from the charts all together. The UK Charts company take this issue very seriously and if enough evidence is found the single could even be canceled after the official chart show result. There are also reports that the X-Factor brand are in serious breach of the chart rules and have been sabotaging things to get their sales up.' errr.... what the f***  ah... hang on.... someone was very bored :D and decided to do a OCC fake write up -_-
December 19, 200915 yr Erm... OH YEAH what if i want to present this single to somebody and have another copy to myself? Seriously this 'quote' is a brainf***.

Photographic evidence? of what people buying the whole shelf in hmv  well they could never get prof of rage machine mass downloading as they cant photograph in peoples houses! what a stupid article.
December 19, 200915 yr Photographic evidence? of what people buying the whole shelf in hmv  well they could never get prof of rage machine mass downloading as they cant photograph in peoples houses! what a stupid article. I seriously doubt this is true, as it is a pity they did not DSQ the UK's biggest selling single of all time Elton John's Candle In The Wind '97 when some people were buying multiples of 10 or more of the maudlin track.
December 19, 200915 yr  Or better ban both singles and let Lady GaGa have the Christmas #1 single.
December 19, 200915 yr The OCC would not disqualify a song that's involved in the biggest chart battle of recent times. That goes for both Joe and Rage.
December 19, 200915 yr Bookies Paddy Power is now offering 2/1 on ANY OTHER act for No.1 amidst fears that Joe and RATM will be pulled from the chart.
December 19, 200915 yr  Or better ban both singles and let Lady GaGa have the Christmas #1 single. Agreed. That would be SO GOOD
December 19, 200915 yr That's why I think that quote is just a load of bull, seriously OCC wouldn't write out a statement like that, if bulk buying was involved, they just pull it
December 19, 200915 yr Bookies Paddy Power is now offering 2/1 on ANY OTHER act for No.1 amidst fears that Joe and RATM will be pulled from the chart. oh... for crying out loud this is getting stupid now, I can't see them pulling both tracks, or any tracks whatsoever, it just be a waste of time. Why would they, I'm sure its just a wind up to stir things up.... Is it me. or is this getting the whole thing blown out of proportion
December 19, 200915 yr I don't like 'The Climb', but there is no way that The OCC would 'ban' it from the Charts, because some people are buying several copies. You can buy as many copies of a Single, (or Album), as you like. I recall seeing people buying huge armfuls of Oasis's 'Be Here Now' Album in 1997, & the Elton John 'Diana' Single, the same Year. They were even shown buying them on the TV News - filmed in HMV etc.
December 19, 200915 yr The whole OCC thing is crap...I'm sure they understand that it is impossible to enforce the ban on multiple purchases otherwise they would probably have to disqualify every top ten single from recent times! I'm pretty sure you could find at least one occasion where someone has bought a copy for themselves and one for a friend/relative/whatever for most tracks...
December 19, 200915 yr Bookies Paddy Power is now offering 2/1 on ANY OTHER act for No.1 amidst fears that Joe and RATM will be pulled from the chart. Lol that's just to fool gullable people to make a bit of money
December 19, 200915 yr Bookies Paddy Power is now offering 2/1 on ANY OTHER act for No.1 amidst fears that Joe and RATM will be pulled from the chart. "Any other act" includes RATM. They are only quoting odds on Joe and any other act.

I think they mean "An official linked with the OCC". That leads me to conclude that it is probably a fake.
December 19, 200915 yr That would be a dream come true :) But why wasn't JLS' album pulled for the same reason? Or are album sale rules different from single sales?
December 19, 200915 yr ^^ Post in RATM Discussion Forum There is no discussion forum. What do you mean facebook?

December 19, 200915 yr That would be a dream come true :) But why wasn't JLS' album pulled for the same reason? Or are album sale rules different from single sales? if multiple copies of an album are purchased together it only counts as one sale anyway, so stop being bitter about JLS's sales yes they are p***ing all over alex, cheryl, leona even robbie but theres no need to be an arse.
