December 16, 200915 yr Author I couldn't have said it better! Thanks! so why on earth have you got a joe youtube video as your sig, how is that not supporting ''over-hyped', 'manufactured', circus events like XFactor vs RATM' well Sammy sort of answered what I was going to say to Bert. Bert has been very immature towards the rage song screaming support for Cowell (in the earlier pages of this thread. then claims to not be able to agree more with an opinon that is against both of them. Just bought mine on amazon, how many more times can i download it before it won't count? Download it as many times you like from different IP's, use different e-mail's to register to different sites  God i just heard that rage machine song and i don't know what the fuss is, its just as bad as the x factor single. lol 'that rage machine song'. The song is terrible. Whoever picked it has just as bad taste in music as Cowell. That is, in your opinon. But last year RATM played only 3 UK dates, each of which had a 60,000+ strong crowd all with there fists in the air and jumping about shouting 'f*** YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME'. So to have that much a following cant mean it's that terrible. and yes I know before anyone points it out more people have watched TXF this year than saw Rage last year, but difference is, did 180,000 people vote for Joe? (for all I know they could of, I dont know the figures).

I'm kind of excited about this now, I never thought they had a shot but they do! ^_^ Edited December 16, 200915 yr by Slick
December 16, 200915 yr You do like pop music though dont you, is your surname Aloud? or are you just another Girls Aloud loon? you are quite obviously biased towards the song because it is rock. For the record I didnt "brand you as a Cowell Bummer". I dont think anyone has said a charity single for X Factor and looked down on it in this thread. In the end i'm a big supporter of Shelter, and i'm sure TXF song had plenty going right to Cowell. RATM are getting nothing from this battle. I'm a proud "Girls Aloud loon" but how narrow minded of you to think just because I'm a Girls Aloud fan I don't like rock. For the record Bullet For My Valentine are one of my favourite bands, as are Metallica. Reading back in this thread, someone called people who like The X Factor "Cowell bummers" so that's what I was referring to.
December 16, 200915 yr We all know there is no comparaison at all between both. RATM at the top is the direct result of a Facebook campaign to get a song at the top. This is clearly in contradiction with the rules of the OCC. It's main aim is precisely to disturb the Xmas charts, and it's stated this way. Every copy sold is a copy counting... it's so typical to pretty much 'go to the police' when the outcome isn't as people desire.
December 16, 200915 yr ^^the comment about RATM 'not being the most popular song on the week' is ridiculous - as if the climb or any other xfactor song is as popular??
December 16, 200915 yr Author Every copy sold is a copy counting... it's so typical to pretty much 'go to the police' when the outcome isn't as people desire. exactly the sort of thing RATM goes against. They do a superb cover of 'f*** Tha Police' originally by NWA. ^^the comment about RATM 'not being the most popular song on the week' is ridiculous - as if the climb or any other xfactor song is as popular?? I know, it came out the year I was born and I have been into the track for like 5 years now, and now many many people my age who like it, this x factor song is by miley cyrus, someone with less of a following than Rage, there is no denying KITN is far more famous.
December 16, 200915 yr What I hope comes out of this is that a Thom Yorke; Matt Bellamy; Damon Albarn or Jarvis Cocker decides to organise and orchestrate a bunch of contemporary acts who make and create real original music to get together to record a song to take on the Simon Cowell sausage making pop machine in 2010; and then try to do it again and again until Simon Cowell gets the message And I hope that happens to tbh... And that Fony or Jon Morter have absolutely SOD ALL to do with promoting it.....

December 16, 200915 yr ^^also the miley cyrus version only reached the top 20 earlier this year - i wonder why all of a sudden thousands more will dload it this week>?!?! Is it because they have just realised what a great song it is - i doubt it!! Edited December 16, 200915 yr by steve201
December 16, 200915 yr RATM still ahead of Joe :cheer: But remember Joe has had only a day of physicals and should get boosted tomorrow

Which is why I'd ban BOTH of them from the charts tbh, just on a general principle... This whole thing has turned into a fukkin' farce... And it's Fony who have orchestrated it.... This is nothing short of a bloody scandal even worse than "Payola" (which is when you had radio DJs being paid by promoters to play tracks by acts they were managing or promoting).. This is made even worse by the way that Fony have totally poisoned the RATM well here, by fooling Tom Morello into believing that this whole thing was a 100% Grass Roots campaign, when it's obvious it's not...
December 16, 200915 yr Had 118 copies of Joe's single today at work - There were less than 15 left at 5pm

Yeah that's why Joe's single is reduced to 29p in a lot of places, yeah erm.. makes sense :)
December 16, 200915 yr well I've just bought Race against the machine from itunes. I really want this song to be no1 on sunday. I cant stand the x facor and what its all about, releasing a cheap tacky cover version and this years winner is very bland, nothing special at all. I dont care the fact its not a very good song, I see this as a protest vote over the domination of x factor being christmas number 1 for the past 5 years

How can it be a "Protest" against anything if it's being marketed and promoted by the very same sorts of people who are marketing and promoting the X-Factor...... Epic wouldn't be doing ANYTHING without Fony's approval.... Honestly, just do a little digging into this Facebook campaign and the other website... Go back a few pages to links that were put up by Xmas Presence... MY eyes were opened to this scam.....
December 16, 200915 yr Yeah that's why Joe's single is reduced to 29p in a lot of places, yeah erm.. makes sense :) All part of the ploy innit... Amazon do this sort of thing all the time anyway....

Well thats your opinion...I know quite a few people who have bought the song because they dont want X Factor to be number 1 and alot of people on the radio have said they will be downloading it for the same reasons.
December 16, 200915 yr Author I dont even care if 'Fony' are behind it, I just want the satisfaction of a song like Killing in the Name being the most popular song this week, over the $h!te factor. And tbh I stand by anything Morello does, and tbh it's giving money to chairty at the same time. so all good.
December 16, 200915 yr Well thats your opinion...I know quite a few people who have bought the song because they dont want X Factor to be number 1 and alot of people on the radio have said they will be downloading it for the same reasons. Well, this is all part of the Fony Masterplan... A cunning ploy to get the Alternatives who wouldn't normally give a sh"t about the charts or bloody X-Mas No1 to take part in this massive cross-media/viral manipulation... And it's all going supernova now with the release of the Physicals... All the "Joe" fans will be going out, buying up copies of the X-Factor coaster like its going out of fashion, which will prompt another rallying of the RATM fans.... And all the while Fony Corp will be laughing its ass off at how stupid we all are for falling for it.....
