December 10, 200915 yr I think we just have to wait to see who Dermot says on the night tbh. I don't think the duets will be that much of a difference in the final result as they will be on Saturday and the final results on the Sunday. Also I wouldn't be surprised if by biggest final ever he means loads of guest stars because 4 hours is a lot of time to fill. Well X-Factor is on Saturday between 19:30 Hrs and 21:30 Hrs; then Sunday between 19:30 Hrs and 21:30 Hrs. But the act that finishes third is kicked out on Saturday night, which is the same night as the duets. I think the schedule and duets selected has been maximised to ensure Simon gets a male winner.
December 10, 200915 yr Stacey had a huge advantage of being the only female singer left in he competition, but now Lloyd and Danyl have gone the teenage and overs vote is no longer split. Let's face it, the win is between Joe and Olly now...
December 10, 200915 yr I think the schedule and duets selected has been maximised to ensure Simon gets a male winner. To be fair we, really, don't need another female winner... :arrr:
December 10, 200915 yr To be fair we, really, don't need another female winner... :arrr: More guys have won than girls Steve Shayne Leon v Leona Alexandra I am confused by your post, way you are reacting would think no guy has ever won X Factor
December 10, 200915 yr More guys have won than girls Steve Shayne Leon v Leona Alexandra I am confused by your post, way you are reacting would think no guy has ever won X Factor May be he does not like the fact that Stacey is the first ever caucasian female to make the X-Factor final in six series. That is an incredible stat that in today's politically correct UK has been overlooked.

Caucasian??! :o She doesn't really look like one. edit: Ok, now i see small similarities, but definitely wouldn't have thought about it had i not known it from here. December 10, 200915 yr Caucasian??! :o She doesn't really look like one. edit: Ok, now i see small similarities, but definitely wouldn't have thought about it had i not known it from here. Haha, I know what you mean! The amount of fake tan they put on her is ridiculous, she ends up looking like Leona, who is obviously mixed race.
December 10, 200915 yr I don't see how pairing Michael Buble with Stacy is 'shafting her' he's bigger than both Robbie and George Michael at the moment in terms of UK sales and the housewives demoographic - which is surely the market that all three singers appeal mainly to these days I think she's being a bit underrated...I'm far from her biggest fan - I much prefer Joe - but look on the front of any woman's/teen/gossip magazine at the moment - and you'll see Stacey - she has a huge fanbase of the Kerry Katona/Jordan ilk female 21- 35 demographic who I imagine make up a large part of the voting audience + whom I also imagine a lot of are Michael Buble fans! I reckon the duet could be great for her - male/female duets always have a lot of potential due to the fact that they can sing to each other - if they evoke the right emotions it could be special
December 11, 200915 yr weird choice of duet partners, I love Robbie Williams but ew at him having to sing with Olly (so overrated imo)
December 11, 200915 yr This is really shaping up to be massive :o I wish I had means of watching it :(
December 11, 200915 yr Latest Odds (Yesterday afternoon odds) X-Factor 2009 Winner: Joseph 2/5 odds on (1/3 odds on) Olly 4/1 (5/1) Stacey 6/1 (5/1) Today's odds: Joseph 23/50 odds on (slightly drifting) Olly 7/2 (slightly shortening) Stacey 6/1 The bookies and pundits seem to be in agreement that Olly bagging Robbie as his duet is the dream ticket, with Stacey looking dead in the water considering she was outright second in the odds just after Sunday night's results.
December 11, 200915 yr This is shaping up to be a total non event. So much for 'biggest final ever' eh Simon?
December 11, 200915 yr I think its gonna be so boring watching 4 hours over 2 nights. Sunday nights are boring enough. My friends and I got very frustrated last week that the first segment before adverts was a complete waste of time. The overdone, overdramatic, overlong intros/reviews of the previous night, the embarrassingly overdramatic entrance of Dermot and the judges and the cheesfest that is the group performance. Remember Pop Idol? No special guests, it wasn't all about the judges, no overdramatic voice over. People tuned in to see the contestents who got votes purely on their voices and performance ability.
December 11, 200915 yr I tape the show and watch it in my own time. Fast forwarding, let me see now: The Ads The start The re-caps The what's happened this week bits The phone this number bits The, well infact everything bar the singing (which I find myself fast forwarding half the time :D ) and the Judges comments. And that's just the Saturday night. Sunday, I just tape the last half hour for the results bit.
December 11, 200915 yr I think they should have out the final all into one night as it would have being better.
December 11, 200915 yr This is turning to be a really bad final- so much for 'best line up yet' I wouldve preferred the original rumours - If Stacey had sang 'The Scientist' with coldplay, Olly and PM singing 'come together' and Joe and GM singing 'dont let the sun go down on me' wouldve been three excellent duets and given stacey and olly a chance- instead they have Robbie williams and Michael buble- both have performed on the show before. Instead its robbie williams and michael buble- both have performed on the show before, and while Olly will benefit, Stacey's chance has gone because he is the least well known out of the three. terrible decision  They should let Jedward perform one last time to a christmas song- as they were clearly one of the most popular acts theyve had, and everyone wants to see them again- unfortunately, that doesn't look likely either and they may just sing with the other finalists
December 11, 200915 yr I hope for the sake of popularity, JLS come out and perform with Stacey - you know how many fans they have!
December 11, 200915 yr Lets more people have bought the recent Buble album than Robbie's and what has GM done recently. Out of the 3 i much prefer Buble.
December 12, 200915 yr Dont count on everyone in Dagenham voting for Stacey Solomon. Over the past week i have heard many bad things from people. Still find it hard to believe that she attends my "rival college" and that she only lives like 20 mins from where i go college.
