i didn't say any x factor song was any better, but gaga is far from original. catchy yes, original only to people who haven't followed music before 2000.

I have to back up Sammy on this one. As successful as she is, Gaga is by no means original. It is in fact daft to argue she is. Her style has been based on lot's of artists (one of them is the same one who inspired Christina's look). Her wacky dress sense is also far from original.

 

Btw, i'm not slating her. I actually have new found respect for her but original she is not.

It hasn't been shown in the UK yet so I doubt anyone knows about it.

You are right there but i think Sammy meant Gaga isn't original as well - not that she is less orginal than the winner's single.

 

I think Gaga has had her time at the top of the charts this year (3 times :mellow: ). If i could choose any artist to be Xmas number one, it would be Beyonce (but not with the dire Videophone :lol:)

I think the artists and the X Factor all know that nobody really likes the first single as it's always just added as an after thought/bonus track to their albums. You'd think Simon would jump on that and do something original. Only Shayne Ward has released one that isn't a cover.....and Michelle McManus if we count Pop Idol (Evergreen was a Westlife song). One of the reasons Girls Aloud got people to take notice was the fact that Sound of the Underground was not what you'd expect from those type of shows. That worked out well yet Simon's not taken note. Anyway....
