Posted December 14, 200915 yr Considering the track has lost a day in downloads as the final show was broadcast last night, will he beat sales of 576,046k set by Alexandra Burke last year. Download sales are going to be frontloaded tomorrow, the physical single is not out until Wednesday. I think he will open tomorrow with sales of 150k plus, maybe a tad less, and probably just miss Alexandra first week sales by around 498K
December 14, 200915 yr I love the song, a truly deserving winner, i think he will beat Alexandra for sure.
December 14, 200915 yr Not sure! This Year's X Factor seems to have influenced the Charts more than before with more people watching so you could say bigger sales. The days sales lost will not help it achieve that so maybe less .
December 14, 200915 yr Well he's certainly not going to be another Leon like some people were predicting/hoping.
December 14, 200915 yr I'll guess 600k 700k if and only if the media start reporting fervently on a "chart battle"
December 14, 200915 yr His Single will Sell about 500,000 - 650,000 in Week 1. He certainly isn't another Leon Jackson! I'd say he has the ability to be another Gareth Gates, (Who? Quite!). It depends on how many his 2nd ALBUM Sells that will decide if Simon drops him or not - the Singles are secondary to that matter.....
December 14, 200915 yr 400-450k I dunno really... I can't see it selling as much as last year... the first set of mids will be interesting
December 14, 200915 yr Wow you people predicting 600-700k are WAY off the mark. He is not even that far ahead on iTunes against RATM and I can't see them doing more than 100k. The physical sales for the X Factor single were crap so this may not be much different. Oh and Woolies isn't closing this year so I don't know where these extra sales are going to come from. *Runs off to buy Poker Face again so it will still be YTD number one*
December 14, 200915 yr Between 400K and 450K Revising upward. Somewhere between 500K and 600K. Back to 400K and 450K, maybe less in fact 80K first day. Dire Edited December 15, 200915 yr by Xmas presence
December 14, 200915 yr 300k. Joe was the best of a weak bunch this year and has been landed with a dire song even by XF standards. He's no Leon Jackson but he's a bit bland and ordinary - can't see the public being inspired somehow.
