December 15, 200915 yr Anyways, I agree with the statements above, however to me anything outside of USA and UK is already weird in this country :P
December 15, 200915 yr I suppose if it does become a hit, Iyaz with "Replay" comes from the British Virgin Islands!
December 15, 200915 yr Deep Dish (one of whom is Sharam) are both originally from Iran. And not a top 10 hit, but El Chombo is from Panama.
December 15, 200915 yr Wow. Iyaz from the British Virgin Islands. It'll probably be top 10 and since the British Virgin Islands have an approximate population of 22,000 would that make it the country with the lowest population to be represented in the UK top 10.......

If only the Pope were to release a single and hit the top 10. I don't like to be a killjoy but technically BVI is an overseas territory of the UK, not a separate country.

The Pope has released a CD album hasn't he ? If one of the tracks (prayers backed by music) could make the singles top 10......... about as likely as the next Pope being Jewish I know. In any case I think we might have to credit it as a German hit. Edited December 16, 200915 yr by moth09

December 16, 200915 yr Jan Hammer who had "Miami Vice Theme" at number 5 in the 80's is from Czech Republic :D Right but he became famous as an American! :D
December 17, 200915 yr I thought Vengaboys were from Jamica...but maybe that was just uncle John
December 18, 200915 yr Italy? Spain? Portugal? not sure what to classify those last three. Portugal is definitely unusual in terms of UK chart (I can only think of Rui Da Silva and Nelly Furtado doesn't count) Enrique Iglesias and DJ Sammy had made Spain a bit recurring in the chart in the mid-noughties Italian acts seldom chart in the UK outside the Italian dance record production. BTW, has already anyone mentioned Sergio Mendes and Bellini for Brazil?
