it has been freezing today, wonder if it has put some people off going out shopping, thus hurting joe's cd sales?

Of course, not! It's a rock anthem

'witty'

It's a pop ballad song without any connection to Disney apart from Miley Cyrus who originally sings it.

hmmm let's define it more properly: it's a cheap nonsense song which makes u throw up after the first listen

your flawed its 100% disney its part of the whole machine.

You go to some bloody amazing karaoke bars by the sounds of it.

I find your snobbery far more tragic. Merry Christmas....crack a smile!

Well I don't think I'm a music snob (I like Take That ... how can I be  ) but believe me ... Joe is a nice kid but his voice is really no better than Karaoke. You know what ... there really isn't anything bad about being Karaoke either ... if you've got some sort of persona to back it up with ... but he hasn't. He's as interesting as a bowl of muesli.

Hmm, lets stop pushing our opinions as facts. Kay?

As to whether The Climb is or is not a Disney song:

"The Climb" is a song written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe originally performed by American recording artist and actress Miley Cyrus for the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie. It was released as the lead single from the film's soundtrack on March 5, 2009 by Walt Disney Records.

Call me daft, but am I missing something or it as much a Disney song as it could possibly be.

I reckon you could be onto something there Rich! Can't be sure ... but I'd say that makes it a 'Disney' song (oh how they've come down in quality over the years).

It's as Disney as you can get......

'The Climb' was recently ruled illeligible for the nomination for the 2010 Grammy award of 'Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media' after it was found it wasn't specifically written for the Disney Hannah Montana movie. But yes, the label the song was released on is Disney, so I don't know how you want to classify it.

'The Climb' is a Song published by Disney. That doesn't automatically mean rubbish.

People need to not be so biased and give every Song and Artist a chance regardless of their label.

If they do, and don't like it... then that's fair enough. :)

I don't think people dislike the song as it is from a Disney movie. There are plenty of Disney songs I like. The reason I hate the climb is due to the fact it is quite possibly the worst song released this year to make the top 10. I can safely say I would never willingly listen to that song.
Come on 'Broken Heels' and 'Look For Me'! Both need to be higher :(

Totally agreed.

If he had recorded a song of the quality of:

Heigh-Ho

Hi-Diddle-Dee-Dee

Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah

Whistle While You Work

When I See an Elephant Fly

The Bare Necessities

I Wanna Be Like You

Kiss the Girl

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

A Spoonful of Sugar

Circle of Life

Beauty & The Beast

When You Wish upon a Star

You'll Be In My Heart

Colors of the Wind

Can You Feel the Love Tonight

then I would not have such a problem. But The Climb was a wretched song recorded by Miley Cyrus, which is the worst thing I've heard Joe McElderry sing.

nice to see rihanna back upto #6, lets hope her on jonathan ross means her albums flying off the shelf today and it will be top 20 on sunday.

Pop bars without RATM and JME:

Of course it wouldn't actually look like that - every bar is worth significantly more than usual due to the squashablity of RATM.
