This is an actual disaster for Mini Viva. I thought they'd at least nab a place in the last few posistions of the top 40 by Sunday after spending the week climbing I-Tunes but no longer top 75? Well that albums good as cancelled....

 

it's a shame but I didn't expect them to be anything but a one hit wonder

 

Left My Heart In Tokyo was fun and quirky but this more serious 'Call The Shots' esque sound makes them sound like a completely different band. I was hoping for something more upbeat and sing-a-long, they should have left I Wish until 3rd or 4th single, and certainly not released it on xmas week :/

 

then again as 3OH!3 have proved, I guess if a song is destined to be huge it will be whenever it gets released

A combination of both I reckon... the publicity will keep it at maybe #7 or #8 next week, then it'll bomb spectacularly out of the top 30 in the first chart of 2010.

Joe must be selling physicals by the bucketload. RATM are almost outselling it by 3:1 on iTunes yet it still managed to sell around 40k more than RATM sold yesterday :| amazing!

Rage more than 3:1 over Joe but that will still probably only be another 50k for the day compared with maybe 75-80k again for Joe all things considered...

And so here we have it... DOWNLOAD ONLY DOES NOT WORK.

 

Joe's downloads are falling rather than Rage's increasing.

 

Rage will manage another 80k for the rest of the week, while Joe will probably be around 180k.

YES IT DOES.

 

You can NOT compare a download only release to a reality TV / charity song and conclude that download only is useless. X Factor related singles and especially charity singles do EXTREMELY well on physicals, while very few other songs do.

Its so sad for mini viva, really hope there next single does well.

Fresh? They sound, to me, like a side project for Xenomania to concentrate on while Girls Aloud are doing their own thing.

 

I also predicted that they would be a one hit wonder, they seemed like the sort of act who weren't as big as their first single. They're a bit of a bargain bin Girls Aloud really.

Its looking good for Joe. It was a good fight...but I don't see RAGE keeping a lead over Joe past today.
