Ugh. Should have been Hard!

LOL this is laughable! both are probably the most "hit-worthy" songs on the album (ie most commercial) yet one isnt even being released properly! It really is laughable....Rated R is a great album but it doesnt have many "singles" on it....and they have just lost one as i doubt they will even release Hard after Rude Boy as it is already over the music channels! what are they going to release next then?........ :huh:

Oh, I really think they should've waited. Hard would have blown up, its getting lots of videoplay. I can see why they used WYT as promo, but not Hard. What a waste.

“Rude Boy” is the fourth single of “Rated R”, hah you already new that! Anyway, the music video for it has been shot in Los Angeles in a few days and was done yesterday. As always, they were done early in the morning [1:20 am]. Here’s a few tweets about how sick it’s gonna be!

Yep, this is shaping up to be pretty mega. I thought it was a questionable choice at first but I guess they knew what they were doing...

Rihanna’s hot new single, “Rude Boy,” might just have an equally hot video accompanying it.

 

The pop star has once again employed video director Melina, who previously worked on her video for “Hard,” for the clip, and promises it will take a completely different route from her other work.

 

In an interview Wednesday (January 27) with Carson Daly for his Amp Radio show, Rihanna reveals a few bits and pieces about the video for her fans. “[it's]completely different from any other video I’ve shot before,” she said. “A lot of my videos are really dark and edgy and tough. ‘Rude Boy’ is more playing along the lines from my roots.

 

“We used a lot of color, but also the costumes were very Jamaican dance-hall queen type.”

 

The finished clip should be released in the coming weeks.

I cant see anything from her new album doing that well to be honest. I'm really disappointed with the sound of the songs...good girl gone bad was packed with hits unlike the new album.

 

I agree with you. The only song that I really like on the album is "Photographs". I play that song over and over. This would make a really good video if she decides to release it. She should make a video with the same type of vibe as "Unfaithful".
