Since we are getting some news on the new album already, thought we might as well have a thread for it. Some interesting tid bits coming up about the new album

 

- The DJ who is working on the tour will colaborate in some songs;

- Kelly is writing a new material and working with different people;

- Kelly said that this CD will have a dance-funk sound;*

- This is different from the other albums;

- Some new songs were listed at ASCAP, they are "Mrs. Right" and "Wish I Could Be Lonely";

- Kelly said at the pre-show of one of the concerts that she will put "Wish I Could Be Lonely" on the new album;

Max Martin ususally comes up with some good stuff, so im sure he'll be able to help her get another hit. I also hope they dont give her scrapped songs originally recorded by other artists like I Do Not Hook Up, she's way better than that.

Or 'Gone''s :wub: AMAZING song! Definately the best album track on the sensational 'Breakaway'! Deserved a FULL release instead of 'Walk Away' or 'Breakaway' imo. (As much as I LOVE those two!)

Kelly Clarkson has confirmed that she is experimenting with a number of different genres for her next album.

 

The former American Idol winner revealed that she has been in contact with a variety of producers for the follow-up to 2009 bestseller All I Ever Wanted.

 

"We have several songs already penned for the next album, I'm always writing, I don't think I ever stop," she told Billboard.

 

"I was just emailing a couple of different writers and producers for the next album. There's everything from beats to more singer-songwriter country stuff to major pop stuff. It's all over the place right now, I've no idea what it's going to sound like."

 

The 27-year-old reached number one with her 2003 debut Thankful. She notched up futher top five success on the Billboard 200 with follow-up LPs Breakaway and My December.

 

Clarkson's album All I Ever Wanted is nominated in the 'Best Pop Vocal Album' category at the Grammy awards, which take place in Los Angeles on January 31.

All we can do is wait ...
