Kelly Clarkson has penned a new song in response to her ongoing feud with her label, RCA/Sony Music, and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder.

 

The recently-leaked track, "Wash, Rinse, Repeat," allegedly addresses the controversy surrounding Clarkson's 2009 single, "Already Gone." Last summer, "Already Gone" came under fire for its similarities to Beyoncé's "Halo," which was released nearly 8 months prior to Clarkson's single.

 

The "American Idol" Season 1 winner claimed Tedder, who wrote both songs, recycled the arrangement and blamed her label for the mishap. In turn, both parties denied responsibility.

 

"Wash, Rinse, Repeat," a rumored demo for Clarkson's new album, appears to be the singer's take on the situation: "I can't take the pressure of new/Give me old, rip it off/Let's see if it sticks to the wall again…Does it sound familiar/Does it linger in your ear/Like something you remember from just last year?"

 

The chorus echoes Clarkson's claims that the label and Tedder deceived her ("Wash, rinse, repeat, why are you fighting it?/No, no, no/Don't get crazy, keep between those lines/Here's what we have in mind/We've worked with everyone, trust us and see"), while certain verses seem to target the OneRepublic songwriter specifically: "Hi, my name is … and I'm here to run everything/Spreading like a cancer, I will die and take you all with me."

 

Both Tedder and Clarkson's label have yet to release statements concerning the situation.

Love it! I wouldnt want it on the album personally but I imagine it would be one fantastic B-Side (one of those b-sides you kind of want on the album but know it wouldnt work).
