December 23, 200915 yr Author I haven't heard/like enough of these to make a constructive judgement Totally fair enough. Btw: voting closes end of New Years Day. If anyone changes their mind between now and then you can come back and edit your posts because I won't do the final count-up til then. I'm trusting people not to edit their posts just to affect the outcome :P Edited December 23, 200915 yr by WesWhite

December 24, 200915 yr OMG I don't like any of them much. I can't stand most of them... What a loser list. Most of these lists have to be junk... its all advertising, money and promotion sometimes. Who compiled this list originally as the best albums of the year by the way???

Most of these lists have to be junk... its all advertising, money and promotion sometimes. Who compiled this list originally as the best albums of the year by the way??? I put Q magazine, Uncut, Mojo, NME and Rough Trade's end-of-year lists together. The thread is linked in the first post of this thread. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with it by the way! But do reiterate Mr/Ms. Soap's question.
December 24, 200915 yr Out of curiosity, what are your favorite albums of the year? hmmm... not a bad year for albums. Reality killed the video star (The best IMO) The END Fearless (not sure if it counts on this year) Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel Brand New Eyes Perhaps Echo as well - we'll see I am not sure about The element of Freedom- haven't listened to it I have to admit that I have listened to only 6 of them... and not the whole albums and perhaps I should add The XX – XX to my list. ... the definition of BEST is a bit misty anyway I think. (lyrics, rhythm, music, creativity, innovation, vocals is what comes to my head) Edited December 24, 200915 yr by 7heDreamer

December 24, 200915 yr @ titty: I understand that art is something that not all people can agree on, it has to do with taste. The "oh deary dear" goes to all the albums or sth specific?

Paramore are good at what they do, bit of a guilty pleasure and I prefer Riot! but their newest is nice. ;o (lyrics, rhythm, music, creativity, innovation, vocals is what comes to my head) =/= Leona Lewis though. She has...one of those. ;(
