So who will get my song of the year. After 52 weeks, new artists like Lady GaGa, Pixie Lott, Little Boots, Mr Hudson, Mini Viva and Agnes. Comebacks from Robbie Williams, Mika, Kelly Clarkson, BEP, Shakira, Muse, The Prodigy & Greenday with also continuing success from Alesha Dixon, The Saturdays, One Republic, Sugababes & many more. Who will get the all important Smash Hit song of the year 2009 for me.

Here's my previous top 10 Smash hit charts of the years

5-Nickleback - Rockstar

6-Kid Rock - All Summer Long

7-Sara Bareilles - Love Song

8-The Feeling - I Thought It Was Over

9-James Blunt - Carry You Home

10-One Republic - Stop And Stare

A great top 10 IMO. So hard to choose as they are all great songs :)

3-Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love

4-Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend

5-Sugababes - About You Now

6-Kaiser Chiefs - Ruby

7-Enrique Iglesias - Do You Know (Ping Pong Song)

8-Linkin Park - What I've Done

9-Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry

Michael Buble - Haven't Met You Yet (Another one i wouldn't have recommended too highly on but it's really good TBH. Not a huge fan of his but some of his songs are ok)

Edit i keep thinking that Beyonce being no.1 wasn't accurate but actually i think it was now. I wasn't sure whether it was the no.1 or the top 5 TBH. Because Nickleback i think would be higher than Katy Perry. Nevermind LOL.

I'll start posting my chart tommorow :D

SMASH HITS TOP 100 OF 2009 By Rob

100-91

100:Beverley Knight - Beautiful Night /// PK#10 /// 8 WEEKS
99:Taylor Swift - Fifteen /// PK #09 /// 8 WEEKS
98:Beyonce - Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) /// PK#08 /// 8 WEEKS
97:The Saturdays - Forever Is Over /// PK#07 /// 8 WEEKS
96:Booty Luv - Say It /// PK#05 /// 8 WEEKS
95:Young Soul Rebels - I Got Soul /// PK#05 /// 8 WEEKS

93:Cobra Starship Ft Leighton Meester - Good Girls Gone Bad /// PK#02 /// 8 WEEKS
92:Eva Simons - Silly Boy /// PK#14 /// 9 WEEKS
91:Britney Spears - Circus /// PK#09 /// 9 WEEKS

So off to a flying start. I'm not a huge fan of Beverley Knight's much but this song is really good IMO, well from what i've heard and it spent 8 weeks on my chart, peaking at 10 with it just scraping my top 100 at No.100. The 1st of many Taylor Swift's songs in my countdown, the lovely Fifteen comes up first at No.99. 1st of Beyonce's singles and a single of hers that was released at the later part of 2008 but remained in my chart till early this year and peaked in the top 10 this year. The Saturdays 1st single and first of their 2nd album makes a entry in my chart at 97. Next up we have Booty Luv and Muse who both made successful returns this year with their comeback singles along with the War Child charity single by the Young Soul Rebels which features many of the new superstars who've crashed onto the music scene this year with the song "I Got Soul", which is a cover of the Killers "All These Things I've Done" hit who all spent 8 weeks in my chart and peaked at No.5. No.93 comes from a new group called Cobra Starship who teamed up with Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester to make this energetic, classy song GGGB. Eva Simon's "Silly Boy" comes in at No.92 despite peaking at 14 and spending 9 weeks which refers to a point from when Top 20 peakers could come in. Lastly at No.91 is the first and only appearance from Britney.

I'll post 90-81 a little later :P

Ok so here we go with the next section

90-81 :D

90:Chicane - Poppiholla /// #06 /// 9 Weeks

89:Esmee Denters - Outta Here /// #06 /// 9 Weeks

88:Linkin Park - New Divide /// #06 /// 9 Weeks

87:Mariah Carey - I Want To Know What Love Is /// #06 /// 9 Weeks

84:Girls Aloud - Untouchable /// #01 /// 9 Weeks

83:Agnes - I Need You Now /// #20 /// 10 Weeks

82:The Prodigy - Omen /// #20 /// 10 Weeks

81:Paolo Nutini - Pencil Full Of Lead /// #20 /// 10 Weeks

Off we go from 90 now which was comes from a sample. Chicane's beautiful instrumental sample of Sigur Ros's "Hoppipolla". From her video's and covers on Youtube to starting a proper music career has proved greatly so far on her debut single. I'm talking about Esmee Denters with "Outta Here" in at No.89. Esmee also joins Linkin Parks "New Divide" from the Transformers film and Mariah Carey's IMO superb covers of Foreigners "I Want To Know What Love Is" as songs that peaked at 6 and spent 9 Weeks on my chart. Another female who's doing well with her music career is 18 year old Pixie Lott who makes her 1st of 3 appearances in my chart with her recent one "Cry Me Out". Next up is my first No.1 on my smash hits chart of the year to make an appearance. GA's Untouchable reached No.1, whilst 9 Wk's was good enough, it's the poorest of all my no.1's coming in at No.84 because every other No.1 of mine this year is higher up. Agnes and Prodigy's 1st appearances are at 83 & 82 whilst Paolo Nutini appears once on my chart with "Pencil Full Of Lead" at No.81.

80-71 Will come abit later on :D

Starting off the next round we have a huge song from 2009 by Guettakon with "Sexy Bitch" but only made No.16 in my chart and had quite an odd chart run due to dropping out and coming back however it notched up a huge 10 weeks which secures it at No.80. Little Boots 2nd entry with Earthquake comes in at No.79. Enrique & Ciara come in at 78 whilst Mr Hudson's duet with Kanye strides in at 77 and the 1st Noisettes song comes in at 76. For a song that not even hit the UK charts yet, One Republics comeback single proves well good for entering the chart at 75. KOL'S first of many entries comes from "Revelry" at No.74. Akon features again in a duet this time with Shontelle on "Stuck With Eachother" at 73. Pink's 1st appearance with the title of her album comes in at No.72. Last year "Hot N Cold" went in at No.34 on my chart of the year and with a second year running proves this song has does really good for me to make the top 100 for a 2nd year, No.71 is still quite good regarding it was in last years too.

Mini Viva are at 68 with the catchy "I Left My Heart In Tokyo". Noisettes final song "Don't Upset The Rhythm" is at 67 whilst Lily's first appearance on my chart with "The Fear" is at 66. 52:Pixie Lott - Mama Do (Uh Oh Uh Oh) /// PK 05 /// 12 Weeks

51:Sugababes - About A Girl /// PK 03 /// 12 Weeks

PCD's 2nd song from last year "I Hate This Part appears for a 2nd year at 60. Girls Aloud's final appearance on my chart at 59 although Cheryl Cole is still to come. Eminem, J Hud and Alexandra all appear once in my chart at No's 58, 57 & 56. Pink's 2nd song in my chart at No.55. Prodigy are 54 with "Warriors Dance". Little Boots at 53 with "Remedy", her final appearance on the chart. Pixie's 2nd entry at 52 and Sugababes 1st song at No.51.

A little mess up because looking at it Prodigy should be 53 and Boots at 54 looks at the peaks and length's. Stupid me to have just realised it, anyway it's down in my chart books so can't change but doesn't matter too much

Here we go into my top 50. Happy new year all. :D

No.50:Take That - Up All Night /// PK 02 /// 12 Weeks

No.49:The Saturdays - Work /// PK 10 /// 13 Weeks

No.48:Greenday - 21 Guns /// PK 07 /// 13 Weeks

No.46:Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror /// PK 01 /// 8 Weeks

No.45:Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love /// PK 03 /// 13 Weeks

No.42:Saturdays - Issues /// PK 02 /// 13 Weeks

No.41:Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow /// PK 09 /// 14 Weeks

Here we go into my top 50 of the year with Take That's only appearance at No.50 followed by 1st of the 2 Saturdays songs in this section, firstly "Work" at 49. Greenday's "21 Guns" is 48. Tinchy Stryder teamed up with Sugababe Amelle on "Never Leave You" which is No.47 on my chart. We lost a musical legend in the King Of Pop Michael Jackson, he will be terribly missed and his legacy will continue. The amazing "Man In The Mirror" comes in at 46. Cheryl's first solo hit is at 45 with The All American Rejects at 44. My song of 2008, "If I Were A Boy" hangs around in my top 100 of the year for a 2nd year at No.43. The Saturdays final song "Issues" comes in at 42 and the first Black Eyed Peas song is from "Boom Boom Pow" which annoyingly misses the top 40. Going in at number 41.

Top 40 comes later B)
