I was well shocked when I came on before and saw that Florence was #1. I wasnt expecting that. :D

But it is nice to have a bit of a mix up in the top 10, hopefully some of the older songs will start to drop a little now :)

I pretty much agree with this. I don't mind 'Riverside (Let's Go)' but I don't regard it as a genius dance track and no way does it deserve to be massive. Even 'Day N' Nite' by Kid Cudi Vs Crookers from last January was better and I didn't think that was brilliant either.

 

As for IYAZ, it might be generic but it's much better than some of the dirge that US RnB artists produce. Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, Chamillionaire? Just...no!!! :) So I'd prefer to see 'Replay' at no. 1 but my gut feeling was that Sidney Samson would be bigger. Looks like I was right. -_-

They should rename 'The Climb' as ''The Drop'.

 

 

Sidney Samson has got such huge support from Radio 1, that is another reason for this success. I would like Iyaz to be #1, purely because it is catchy - and that one feature makes it better than the other contenders for #1, which are all tripe.

The single has an extended intro. Well on the CD single it does but I'm not sure about the EP version you can download... I'm tempted to download the Jason Nevins Remix of 'Ego' though. It sounds really good. Jason Nevins never fails to impress. I listen to his remix of 'Down' more than the original version.

there's a club remix of Replay on the IYAZ ep which sounds pretty good too actually - sounds good as a dance song :o
