So 2009/2010's new girlgroup Girls Can't Catch release their debut album on 15th February (according to HMV). No tracklist or artwork has been confirmed yet, but it is sure to include 'Keep Your Head Up' and new single 'Echo'.

Confirmed Tracks;

  • Alone (Victoria Louise Lott)
  • Echo (Viktoria Hansen)
  • Happy Alone
  • Keep Your Head Up (Chris Braide, Nina Woodford)
  • L.E.S. Artistes (Santi White)
  • Turn It Up (Shaznay Lewis)

It has also been confirmed that tracks called 'Alone' and 'Happy Alone' will be on the album.

Although I'm sure they will change one of those names upon release!

It's a real shame 'Keep Your Head Up' flopped.

I'm glad Fascination do have enough faith to release the album. I hope 2010 is a great year for the Girls.

Exited about this. Both singles have been brilliant so hopefully they wont bomb that much...
'Echo' should safely make the top 10 I'd say, I don't think these girls are quite special or distinctive enough to last the distance but that should put them in safe territory for the time being and be a good platform to launch the album from.
Echo shud make about number 13 mayb top 10 if a bit of promotion is brought round near the release

Agreed.

I think 'Echo' is a good starting point, but a killer third single could really raise their profile and sell their album - which I think will be quite solid. The online aspects of their campaign have been handled very well, I hope, for their sake, that trend continues into their promo for 'Echo'.

Oh yeah, forgot about 'Happy Alone'! Judging by the acoustic sent out from the mailer, it's gonna be epic!

'Echo' looks like it will go Top 15 at least - so they will probably try another single.

Does anyone know what the third single is going to be? I suspect it will be strong than the first two singles if they plan to release the album off the back of it.

There's also a cover of L.E.S. Artistes on the 6 track promo.
I'll give this album a go, sounds like they could be big in 2010.

Another song title announced, well, they played it at the tour, but anyway... It's called 'Turn It Up' and it's written by Shaznay Lewis, and could be the possible third single! :D Also, HMV have a current release date of 28th February, which is pretty obviously unofficial as it's a Sunday.

Cool!

I like their song 'Echo'. Wasn't fussed on their 1st Single much. Saw them supporting Jonas in November and they were quite good :).

All I hear is my echo echo eeechoo :kink:

so theyll release this after the 3rd single? Hopefully they will get a top 10!
I remember liking Turn It Up much more than Keep Your Head Up so i think it could do quite well but maybe not Top 10.
I think these gurks could end up like 90's girlband solid harmonie by having 2-3 minor hits and the album cancelled, their first 2 singles havnt done great so they really need the third single to be a decent hit otherwise im afriad to say they are finished.
well if the third single flops, then surely and album wont happen?

If there is a third single, there will be an album the next week. It is all or nothing. They couldn't finalise all the artwork, tracklistings, printing, distribution and promo for the album, and then just decide to not release it based on the single.
