What a nice smooth curve - a textbook illustration of the decline of sales by descending position. :)

Its beautiful, innit :D :)

Looking at those pop bars, Owl City should be #1 by tomorrow sometime hopefully :) #1 in officials next week please!
I think the Glee cast will pip Owl City to No 1 there are at least two more repeats showing in the next few days.I do like the song but am already getting bored of Fireflies.

Delightful news:

Joe McElderry will open the 2010 National Television Awards [20th Jan ITV1] with a performance of a "new version of fabulous 'Don't Stop Believing'"

Wouldn't shock me of Simon had it chucked out as a download only single now!

Why is that delightful? I have well and truly had enough of that song now!

Simon's finally realised his fatal mistake in not making Don't Stop Believin' the X Factor winner's single? looks like 3 versions of the song could be top ten if it gets a release :o

Everyone says that now but back then he would have been accused of favouriting Joe against his own act, which wouldn't have gone down too well.

If it helps Glee get to #1 thats all fine by me!
ugh all those silly glee songs taking up so many spaces in the top 40 meaning that hard working creative artists like biffy clyro are probably going to miss out on the top 40!!
I am sure it has more to do with both trying to keep Joe in the public eye and maybe trying to get him that US/Disney contract did not go too well and he has to increase his stock here. Both versions are all over radio at the moment so a third would be just too much.
is rihanna benefitting from the video starting to be played on mtv already like jls?

It's 'DSB' overkill I tells ya!!! Simon Cowell must be going $$$$ :w00t: $$$$ at the moment having bought the rights to the song. If he had his way, he'd want more versions of the song in the UK charts, not less. -_-

Anyways, Joe did a good version of 'DSB' - I actually liked his version more than Journey (the original just lacks something for me) but the Glee version is surprisingly the best version of the three. I feel like I shouldn't think that but considering the number of Gleeks here it doesn't seem so bad.

What rights to what song? DSB has never been sold to Simon Cowell.

Rihanna is 40 with Hard and JLS 26 and One Rep at 25 & 96 :D

OMG, the chart gets worse

I read late last year that SonyBMG had bought the rights to the song. Probably one of the reasons why it was widely rumoured to be The X Factor winners single. Then again, it was probably a load of horse manure and none of it was true.

Intresting Updates:

20. Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down - Alicia Keys

25. One Shot - JLS

26. All the Right Moves - OneRepublic

37. Drop The World - Lil Wayne & Eminem

39. Hard (feat. Jeezy) - Rihanna

41. Do You Remember - Jay Sean, Sean Paul & Lil Jon

42. Forever (feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne & Eminem) - Drake

49. Paper Planes - M.I.A.

64. BedRock - Young Money & Lloyd

67. Outta Here - Esmée Denters

79. Broken - McLean

94. You Used to Hold Me - Calvin Harris

108. Rude Boy - Rihanna

132. Outta Here - Esmée Denters

140. Forever (with Drake, Kanye West & Lil Wayne) - Eminem

237. Rock That Body - Black Eyed Peas

239. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

272. Crawl - Chris Brown

273. Never Knew I Needed - Ne-Yo

289. Rainbow Veins - Owl City

299. Casanova - Esmée Denters & Justin Timberlake

cant believe they aren't going to release hard, the fact that it is top 40 on itunes with only a video and no airplay tells you it could have been a hit.
