January 30, 201015 yr UnTOP10able ranks in as one of the biggest flops in the history of the charts! They performed it on Dancing on Ice in front of millions, did loads of interviews/other performances, heavy radio and video rotation and look at it's chart run: 54-41-42-36-27-{11}-21-37-50-62->10 Top 20 for ONE week! The biggest FLOP of them all! FLOP! And when was all that? because the only promotion they did for Untouchable was DOI one month before it's official release. They didn't do anything else for promote it -_- I really doubt it'll make the top10 but it doesn't matter they already have 20 top10 and that's great for any group.

January 30, 201015 yr To be fair most of GA's singles tend to peak highly and then drop like stones. Their reputation is because of their chart positions, imo, not because of sales.
January 30, 201015 yr They were the fifth biggest single sellers of the decade, biggest british single sellers too
January 30, 201015 yr @ shadow2009 stupidest statement I've ever seen I didn't say they weren't big sellers. I said their reputation is more down to chart positions than their sales, which is true. When discussing Girls Aloud the majority of people say they had 20 top ten hits, they don't ever talk about the sales. And their singles DO drop like stones. http://www.chartstats.com/artistinfo.php?id=191
January 31, 201015 yr They were the fifth biggest single sellers of the decade, biggest british single sellers too Where did you get this information?
January 31, 201015 yr Yeh this was a nice idea. There is no hope of it getting into the top 10 let alone top 40 with just 9,800 members. Half of which probably wont download it anyway. One thing I don't understand is why it was necessary to get it into the top 10 anyway. Sure it could of increased their run to 21 but how many artists these days can say we've had 20 concequtive top 10 singles. Untouchable is one of those hidden pop gems that in my opinion is slightly less mainstream and should stay out of the top 10.

The biggest FLOP of them all! FLOP! LMFAO this post is one of the most pathetic posts I've ever read. You've clearly not done your research. The only promotion for it was ONE performance on Dancing On Ice which was 13th March.. it was released on 27th April. "Loads of interviews/other performances" no they really didn't? Where are these interviews/other performances? The only performances of Untouchable was when they performed it on tour. The week Untouchable was released it was #1 on the physical charts. It actually sold more in its first week to get #11 than alot of their singles sold to get top 5. It only sold 1k less than The Show sold in its first week and that got to #2. Coming from an album that had already sold over 750k when the single was released it did pretty damn well to sell what it did.. this campaign wasn't made because people think the single "flopped" because it didn't, the campaign was made because to date it's the only Girls Aloud single that didn't reach the top 10. So yeah, go ahead and call it a flop.. -_- Edited January 31, 201015 yr by Lewis Aloud
