Jay-Z reworked the track with his rap on the verses for inclusion on his latest album first which was released first even though it was recorded second.

 

So this Alicia Keys track is a "re-cover".

 

Okay, so she wrote a good chorus yes. But the verses in Part II are horrendous. I much prefer the Jay-Z 'rework'.

Jay Z took a decent song and turned it into a fantastic one.

Empire State Of Mind was orginally Alicia's song. She didn't steal anything from Jay-Z.

This song is immortal. To think that some people bashed it for copying Sara Bareilles. Even if he was slightly inspired by Love Song, he made miracles from that forgettable track.

Not as addictive as "It's Not The End Of The World..." by any means, it's still a decent effort from the Lostprophets. I wish it had debuted higher.

I've been very disappointed with both of the recent Lostprophets singles. I shan't give up on them totally until I hear the new album but this is just lazy.

That is a flop for Lostprophets, the album won't do well off the back of that. Like the last one, it's a decent song but they've had better in the past...
