Posted January 30, 201015 yr Fifth studio album, titled 'Flesh Tone', supposedly out in April. Excited much? <3 Loving the new direction she's gone in so much. What we know about the album so far: - Eight tracks - First single is the Guetta-produced 'Acapella' - Other possible tracks on the album include 'Scream & Shout', 'Carefree Americans', 'Kids', '4th of July' and 'Alive'. You can listen to 'Scream & Shout' HERE I don't think it's been confirmed as being on the album yet, it could be for a Guetta re-release or something? Either way, it's f***ing amazing, I much prefer it to 'Acapella'. Live version of '4th of July': yqB5NaAxBf0 Another Kelis song, 'They Say' has leaked recently, although it won't be on 'Flesh Tone' as it was just a demo and has now been recorded by Chris Brown for the re-release (I think?) of 'Graffiti'. JVah5qqR6O8 Aaaah I love this woman so much. Edited May 11, 201015 yr by Cremey
January 31, 201015 yr Kelis is great, but I think she needs a new label. Not impressed Guetta has got his grubby hands on her, I think he's a vastly over-rated producer.
February 3, 201015 yr Accapella is epic  I'm not a fan of her Peta stance, but looking forward to hearing this. Only thing, 8 songs is NOT an album...
March 25, 201015 yr Author yd8pcVs01l4&feature=player_embedded You can see more on her official website (iamkelis.com), where there's also a countdown to the full video premiere, which seems to be at 17:00 on Monday. :D
March 25, 201015 yr Cremey are you sure this is a dance album? Cos having one dance single doesn't equal that ;)
March 25, 201015 yr i love that americans are embracing dance music!! Erm, Kelis has collaborated on so many dance tracks, she's hardly jumping on the dance bandwagon. She already loved the genre way before it got semi-popular in the US
March 25, 201015 yr Author Well if you want to move it, move it... But from what I've heard from the album so far ('Acapella', 'Scream and Shout', '4th of July') it seems pretty dance-orientated to me. Just because her previous albums were R&B doesn't necessarily mean this one will be.
March 25, 201015 yr Yeah from what I've heard this is album sits firmly in the dance genre, but we can always shunt this into R&B if that proves not to be the case. I do like the look of the video (a lot), I just think the 'aged' effect on her outdoor 'tribal' scenes looks a bit tacky. The neon-lit scenes are lush though. Full thing should be good. I'm really beginning to get the sense that this might become a really big and unexpected hit (not unlike Lil Star in that respect).
March 29, 201015 yr Agreed, the video is pretty wonderful visually. The parting shot is great. You can watch it here.
March 29, 201015 yr I really hope this track shocks everyone and becomes a massive late spring/early summer hit!
March 29, 201015 yr this song is a really really big grower. on first listen I thought ew, but then after a few more it clicked. it's awesome  and that video... brilliant. loving the tribal outfit scenes. it's weird, I never thought I'd like anything from her but this is stunning. still hate her as a person though. :puke:
March 29, 201015 yr I love this girl ! This song is amazing and I've re-fallen in love with it after seeing the video.
March 29, 201015 yr The video is great! Now that's how you make a low budget video look great, Timbaland take note.
April 2, 201015 yr everything thus far is entirely amazing.'acapella' should be a massive hit, if not '4th of july' will be a massive worldwide smash. kelis' time to shine, big time, may be upon us...
