That you don't read the release schedule very often!!! :P

I did, I must have just missed that one. I really thought they'd given up on this era after 'Heads Will Roll', which was the second single from a year old album many months ago. Bizarre.

'Paparazzi' was destined to go top 3, with or without an 'immense' video, yet it still only landed at #4.

Does it really matter though? It's done amazingly well and #4 is still a very decent peak regardless.

I'm just saying it would have reached as highly without its video.

Speaking of 'Heads Will Roll', it's currently no. 1 in Belguim (Flanders). :D

I wonder if they re-released 'Zero' now would be a much bigger hit than it was 10 months ago. Their music was probably ahead of its time.

I'm a fan of theirs but I didn't even know 'Skeletons' was being released as a single... what does that tell you?

Yeah. It's sort of pointless releasing because very few people are aware. The video still is pretty decent though. (

) They obviously aren't here for the charts, or else they'd be long gone, however it would be nice to see this band get some recognition. Heads Will Roll should have been a top 40 hit, as should Zero.

If MJ didn't pass away, 'Paparazzi' would have got #3 in its third week in the top 10, with the run '4-5-3.' But I still think it was worthy of a #1.

LoveGame was epic, can't believe it flopped like it did. WTF?? Why?

I guess many people already had the album. Plus it was one of the more popular album tracks after the album was released and it was up and down the top 100 before it was even announced as a single. #19 isn't too bad.

Cringeworthy lyrics? Extremely underwhelming as a follow-up to the supreme Paparazzi?

I liked Just Dance, Poker Face, Paparazzi, Speechless, Telephone and Bad Romance but LoveGame was just puke. Didn't deserve a top 20 placing tbh. But then compared to some of the crap around atm, it probably deserved to after all

Videos can only do so much for a song. Look at Paparazzi and Thriller. Didn't Thriller peak at #10 or was it #4. I get it's US/UK positions mixed up. If it was #4, it's a coincidence that another song with an extremely long video peaked at the same place.

I'm glad LoveGame didn't make the top 10 - yes, some people say it's one GaGa's more popular tracks, but I think it's one of the worst on the album (maybe second worst after "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich", and if you count the re-release, third worst after "Teeth"). But I still like it - I like all Lady GaGa songs apart from "Videophone", which technically is Beyonce, and GaGa only featured on it.

Anything would've been underwhelming straight after Paparazzi

Poker Face wouldn't have been :P Or BR. LoveGame was just a weak track in general imo.

Oh and btw, i voted for Taylor so your sig is no use to me :P

That is one of my fave GaGa tracks so far. :o

At that time when Thriller was released everyone had a copy of the album. That's why the single only peaked at #10.

True but wasn't it the second single from the album. Or was it the third?

It went Billie Jean, Thriller... didn't it? I don't know

Worse single she has released in my view. There is a remix of LoveGame that is awesome. Can't remember the remix name.

No, 'The Fame', 'Starstruck' or Boys Boys Boys would have been a worthy follow ups to it. ^_^

The Girl Is Mine, Billie Jean, Beat It, Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Thriller, PYT (Pretty Young Thing)

Oh ok then i definitely surrender lol  BJ, BI and WBSS were huge (well WBSS to a lesser extent). I forgot about TGIM though. It's not one of his signature songs. Thriller did great considering then. It was always destined for a huge video imo - that or a cheap live video

Shame gems like Ben, Who's Loving You and Rockin' Robin weren't recognised as much. Sorry, i'm definitely going off topic

Where's I Got You? :D

'LoveGame' wasn't a flop, why do people sometimes focus so hard on peak positions? Hasn't that single sold like 200k in total? It's evidently a popular song and it was the 4th single from an album that had already sold bucketloads until that point.

Funny how Jacko with the singles from each album either made a HUGE blockbusting video or didn't bother at all. "The Girl Is Mine," "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" and "PYT" weren't supported with videos and their chart positions and legacy suffered as a result.
