Actually Glee is a welcome change IMO in the chart - along with Marina & The Diamonds and Hot Chip they're probably the best thing there. The charts really have to be the worst I've ever seen them, and I've been following them since 1998. Any old urban crap shoots up the chart (I mean, BedRock!?), while far superior songs from other genres struggle to get anywhere. :(

 

So yes, the Glee songs are perfectly welcome in my book. Heaven knows we need a bit of variety.

IWEMA is good for the chart.

I hope Jedward flop after this, and never return.

Kesha will be big with this, Marina is nothing special.

Was inevitable that Journey would fall.

One Life Stand isn't anything sopecial either imo, will be top 20 though.

I am in love with the Timbaland/Katy Perry track - and usually I dislike both artist's music (other than Perry's IKAG :wub: )

 

Also "Glee - Alone" really surprised me - another great track from the series. :)

I know I wanted Jedward to be #1, but now they are falling and are at #2 in the mid-weeks, I'm now wanting IWEMA to manage #2 this week....looks quite possible.

Timbaland and Katy no doubt driven by their seemingly unlimited TV Airplay!! It was on 5 different music channel in the space of 15mins just there. I love it though, so it is all good =)

I think Owl City are a little too far ahead at the moment, it would have to reach no.1 and make quite a lead within the next day to be in with a chance of the top spot.

The difference being this was expected to be a huge hit, 'In For The Kill' was something of a surprise hit. Although maybe like Florence this won't make a difference and she'll shift tons of albums.
