So true! There are at least 5 or 6 songs I was on the fence with in the past which I instantly disposed of as soon as hearing your opinion on them. Wonderful Life wasn't one of them, but it made my choice between Caroline and them a HELL of a lot more difficult, as I loved them both the same amount (and still do). I went with Caroline in the end, purely because it was at #2 in my chart whilst Hurts were #3 at the time of confirmation :lol: But yeah, I do very highly value your opinion.

God knows, I've deleted most of my old PM's, but so many times I've sent you two or three songs at a time and you've loved one and not another. I remember sending a rather average song alongside Psycho, in the same PM, and you said the first one left no impression, and the second one was orgasmic. A rather good piece of advice I think! I can't even remember the other song that I was considering alongside it but it was nowhere near as good.

My PM's only date back to June now, I've deleted so many!

 

Along with Backseat, it's the only entry I've sent in 2010 that I hold in as high regard as those that I send in 2009. That was definitely my peak in terms of inspiration - I sent what have become some of my favourite songs ever or at least of the last few years - M.A.G.I.C., Music Everywhere, Robots In Love, I'm Going For Your Brother, even Example!

I'm still proud of sending Wonderful Life, especially now that it's finally becoming a hit, I still think it's a great song. I considered it as my Glorious for a while, but I don't think you've liked any of my entries for a while Phil :(

Nah...even less than the iTunes version - just the standard 11 tracks. Not even the 90's remix of Alors On Danse on the end.

 

Shame really, the remixes being released could have easily pushed it into the top 20 officially.

 

Interestingly though, the sleeve notes and thank you's are all still in French!
