Thank god Paul is gone, least its the start of some deadwood departing, Eileen will be much much stronger and enjoyable without him. Paul dragged her character down.

Tbh, it was a pretty crap exit! I would have either killed him off in the fire or let the story end when he got on the train so than we wouldn't have had to suffer that racism 'storyline'...

Please do the same and get rid of Chesney and Sinead...neither of them can act and its just boring to sit through

I'm dreading tonight's episodes, with Roy and the build up to the results of Hayley's operation...the best storyline on the show right now and the best acting of the year!!

Although - I'll be sad to see John Michie go - I find him does 'threatening' very, very well.

Back to Roy and Hayley - I don't think I can watch this! I was almost in tears last night seeing her all alone in her hospital room! David Nielson should surely be in the running for any soap awards this year - he makes Roy so convincing - and you really do worry about how he'll cope without Hayley.

I cried

I had a slight wobble

This is going to be unbearable...Kath you're right Julie and David had better win some awards their acting is perfect, I'm not normally moved or upset by soaps but this is going to be heartbreaking I will have to watch this with a box of tissues from Wednesday onwards!!

Hayley Tamaddon has joined the cast as a

classmate of Steve's when he decides to improve his education

. Such amazing news! *.* This may give me a reason to start watching again, she was amazing in 'Emmerdale' (and 'Shameless', despite her role being very short-lived :()

What the hell was with that woman Hayley met the other night? She almost sounded looking forward to dying!

Liz is back on Monday

:D

I felt exactly the same way that Roy felt when he said she got on his nerves!

As much as I like Roy (and Hayley has become more bearable lately) having known someone very, very close who died of pancreatic cancer very recently (fifteen DAYS from diagnosis to death) I'm rather sceptical about how the Corrie producers are treating this storyline.

Roy & Hayley have been so good this week!

Roy dropping his sock in the sand

I have to be honest, the Hayley/Roy stuff is starting to get on my nerves a bit now.

I agree :( they used to be my favourites, now I skip their scenes :(

The Roy and Hayley storyline was ruined by the decision of Hayley wanting to end her own life. They should have left that element out as the story was powerful enough for Roy and Hayley.

I disagree. It may be distasteful as a mere soap story - but having watched a loved one go through the pain and indignity of an incurable cancer the same as Hayley's then I've changed my mind. If I was in the same boat as Hayley - I'd want to make sure that I wanted to leave this mortal coil on my own terms. And this is from someone who up until now has not really liked the character of Hayley - or at least been disdainful of the 'cheeky chappy' she seems to have been until now.

OMG at Hayley's wedding dress designs

No wonder Carla screwed the sketches up.

Almost made me cry tonight!! Poor simon. That grace needs a good telling off. Poor little duck I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him he's ok. Hate bullies :(
