I'm intrigued by this album, DWD seems like a more sophisticated Foundations.. but not awfully different in sound :)

Wtf @ this album. I was really excited for it at one point but it's pretty pretentious and just full of try hard quirky lyrics imo. :( 'Mansion Song' in particular is just a bit too weird.

'Pickpocket' is AMAZING! Definately the 'Skeleton Song' of this era imo. :wub:

 

Her voice on 'You Were So Far Away' is gorgeous too. I love it.

it's a record of the worst kind; it's an insult to the listener's intelligence. projects itself as clever, thoughtful with breadth when in reality it's all nothingy fluff. awful, dull arrangements, tracks that meander nowhere, no real emotiveness in her shrill, cutting vocals. she's taken how many years to come up with this rubbish?

Please don't tell me this is rubbish.

 

I spent £25 on her scrapbook...Yikes.

I actually quite enjoyed it on first listen except for Mansion Song! :|

Quite a disappointment indeed... comparing to her brilliant début :(

I love 'The Mansion Song'. Well, not "love" but I like it alot :lol:

 

But my personal favourites so far are (bar 'Do-Wah-Doo')

But the album is growing and I'm sure i'll like it more once I get used to each track etc...
