Singer Cheryl Cole has softened her stand on taking Ashley back, it has emerged. She is reportedly willing to give him another chance but not until August. “It’s my way – or no way,” the X Factor judge, 26, is believed to have told the footie, 29.

Cheryl reportedly told pals she first wants to get over with her tour with the Black Eyed Peas and Ashley’s commitment to the World Cup. And friends reveal she is making up her mind for a second innings with the footballer. “However much she tries, Cheryl just can’t let go. She wants to give him another chance,” the Daily Star quoted a pal, as saying.

 

 

The insider added: “She felt under pressure in the UK because she knew all her loved ones wanted her to dump Ashley but her feelings have mellowed since she’s been in LA. They’re back in contact and are texting each other a lot.”

Cheryl dropped the hint that her marriage might not be over when she was quizzed during an appearance on Norwegian telly.

 

At first the tearful 26-year-old beauty looked furious to be put on the spot, but when pushed about fighting for love she said: "Sometimes things get tough but you've just got to fight on.

 

"What are you going to do? Give up, curl into a ball or are you going to keep fighting on?

 

"My message is fight on. You can't give up and lie down. You've just got to keep going."

 

Meanwhile, devastated Cheryl has stepped up contact with Ashley, 29, over the past ten days.

 

And the cocky star has gloated to pals that he is now confident the Girls Aloud star WILL take him back and WON'T press the button on a divorce.

A source close to the footballer told us: "They're communicating constantly. They're always on the phone, especially by text.

 

"It's not just Ashley, Cheryl is actively engaged. She knows she shouldn't be, but her heart tells her otherwise. Until last week she'd been furious with him and had nothing nice to say. But sometimes she has called him babe. For her that's the natural thing to do - she loves the man, after all.

 

"He's taking a lot of hope from that, being very cocky and telling people he and Cheryl will definitely work things out."

 

Ashley is now pushing the X Factor judge to agree to a meeting, which he thinks will lead to more contact and an eventual permanent reunion.

 

The pair have met just once since the singer ditched him in February following revelations about a string of affairs.

 

Our source added: "Ashley's being very casual about meeting with Cheryl to her - he doesn't want her to think he's desperate.

 

"But he thinks it will definitely happen. He can sense how much she's missing him and he knows he can use that to his advantage.

 

"Last time they met up it was awkward because she was at a low ebb, and was sick in bed with bronchitis. He's convinced it will be different next time."

 

Cheryl, who flew into Germany yesterday, is trying to keep her whereabouts under wraps so any meeting with her hubby stays secret.

 

And Ashley - who is almost fit again after suffering a broken ankle - has made concessions, promising to stay away from glamour girls if he goes out.

 

"He's trying to prove that he's not going to go straight out and start partying with other girls," our source said. It's important for him to prove he has self-control.

 

"He doesn't want to give her any reason to hasten any formal process which isn't on the table right now."

 

But Cheryl's friends are desperate for her to stay away.

 

Our insider said: "It's very disturbing to see her in so much contact with him.

 

"She always said if she did kick Ashley out, there would be no turning back. We have to hope she sticks to that."

 

Last week we told how Cheryl fears she won't be able to find another man, despite romantic interest from US dancer Derek Hough and hip-hop star Will.i.am.

 

And we revealed last month the confused star has put any divorce plans on hold for six months to give her chance to sort her head out.

I agree with you that notw is not very reliable source, but in last days we have many information about Asley & Cheryl reunion. I fear that this can be true.

Cheryl Cole 'to officially ditch surname'

 

Cheryl Cole has plans to officially change her surname back to Tweedy, according to reports.

 

The 'Fight For This Love' singer, who has allegedly told friends that she wants to be called by her maiden name, will unveil the new identity on her next CD, says the Sunday Mirror.

 

"Now she's made the decision her marriage to Ashley is over, Cheryl wants to move on. This name change is the final thing she feels she has to do before a divorce starts moving forwards," a source claimed.

 

"She's numb about the marriage ending but knows she needs to pick herself up. Throwing herself into work is how she's coping," the insider added.

Makes sense given the tour, everything is labeled as "Cheryl", "Cole" has been removed. She introduces herself as "I'm Cheryl", the merch has just "Cheryl" - even the bag from the official store which originally had "Cheryl Cole" has had "Cole" removed, and the visuals also used "Cheryl"

I think the first name only usage would work perfectly, maybe she could rebrand as Cheryl T though?

I agree, i'll miss the surname, but she needs rid every bit of that letch from her life.

I hope she is re-branded as just Cheryl but Cheryl Cole is the best option but for obvious reasons is also the worst option.

I agreee, I'd rather it just 'Cheryl' over 'Tweedy' or 'Cole'

Cheryl is such a massive star now she dosnt need a second name!!! cheryl will work! however i love the ring cole has to the end of her name!

Simon Cowell has sparked speculation that Cheryl Cole has ditched her married name after introducing her as Cheryl Tweedy at the X Factor auditions.

 

According to The Mirror, the music mogul surprised audience members at London's Excel Centre on Tuesday night by appearing to confirm that Cheryl is now using her maiden name.

 

Cowell reportedly said: "Who would like to hear from Cheryl... Tweedy? It is, now, isn't it?"

 

It is thought that the crowd of fans were excited by Cowell's comment and immediately rose to their feet to applaud Cheryl.

 

One onlooker, 21-year-old Kate Gibbs, explained: "The support for her was immense. When Simon announced her as Cheryl Tweedy the whole place went up. Cheryl was beaming. It was as if a new chapter in her life had just started and she looked happier than ever."
