February 19, 201015 yr I thought odds weren't being done anymore because they subconciously influenced people?
February 19, 201015 yr That was just me being over dramatic I expect  I'm sure people can make up their own mind about what they hear. I wouldn't have opened it myself this time around and wouldn't have cared if nobody had, but seeing as Tyron did it, I thought I might as well have a go too.
February 19, 201015 yr  Bottom on both sets of odds - thats a record even for me! I actually think you're one of the guaranteed qualifiers from SF2 :o
February 20, 201015 yr 400/1 People's Republic of Jester // The Drums - Let's Go Surfing 200/1 People's Republic of Jester // The Drums - Let's Go Surfing Oh dear! :( It's just that after 23 consecutive female pop winners, it would be something of a shock to see The Drums win BJSC! I suppose something's going to have to give eventually though, it will be a bit tragic if we reach 50 contests with only Anders from Alphabeat representing the male vocalists in the winners list :drama: And they call BuzzJack gender biased! I can't imagine why :heehee: There are males above The Drums in your odds though, (arguably) inferior ones too :P. They're just really, really wonderful and every song of theirs i've heard sounds so perfect <3.
February 20, 201015 yr I hope a song not in english wins BJSC some day.......Je me perds would make a nice winner
February 20, 201015 yr Interesting odds, higher than I expected. :o Edited February 20, 201015 yr by Rob Dares You

February 20, 201015 yr Royksopp are males, no? I don't hear them singing on The Girl & The Robot, hence why I said 'male vocalists' :P one of Beautiful Small Machines was male too, but he didn't sing, well maybe backing vocals but it doesn't really count...I really wish M.A.G.I.C. had done it

February 20, 201015 yr Royksopp are males, no? The vocals are female though, the gender is pretty irrelevant of those that don't do any vocals. For example, a female being in The Zutons won't really help if they were to be entered in BJSC.
February 20, 201015 yr Shame too because your song is fantastic. :( I second this. Maybe there is hope though

February 22, 201015 yr Author I have indeed :o The fact it made it through such a pop-friendly semi says a lot I feel, plus Rich's arguments in Delphic's favour persuaded me

Egabbac // Kid Sister; Estelle - Step 150/1 Dulpaen // Mariah Carey; Nicki Minaj - Up Out My Face Very very hard to call this month, it's hard to tell if the indie votes will all be diluted and spread out again or if one of them is that much better enough to pull ahead of the rest...again, these don't reflect my votes, I love at least one of the songs that I've put in the bottom five there :P I see 9 possible winners this month, above the line.
February 22, 201015 yr Author You think a 10 minute song loads of people have already said they won't vote for has any chance of winning Rich? :P It might do well, but it's as close to certain as I think you can get in saying something won't win :o I'm of the opinion the indie votes will be diluted by the sheer amount on offer, and a pop song will pull away from the pack...
