Coming from a JLS fan, that's a bit of a LOL comment.

In all fairness, i don't think Sweet Dreams is the stereotypical JLS fan. Just like i'm sure you are not the stereotypical Cheryl/GA fan :P

Was this provocative post REALLY needed?

I have to agree I just did not want to post that but really the word hypocrisy comes to mind. They have reinvented the multibuy theory.

I totally agree with you. If you multibuy a song - RB for e.g - it deserves no credit when it charts at whatever position. I guess it could be the same with GA's singles. But anyway, iTunes knows about the loons and multibuys just count as one purchase

Multibuys only count as a single purchase if the tracks are EXACTLY the same - buying a normal track and its remix would count as 2 purchases (as far as I'm aware - I'm not sure on the policy regarding clean and explicit versions).

However, Rude Boy has no remixes, so yeah, any multibuying would be counted as 1 sale. A bit of a bummer for RiRi fans

I'm not a loon for any singer but am I right in thinking if you wanted to multi-buy (and for it to have an impact) you would have to buy the song from different downloads sites? That seems so much effort just to give it an extra sale!

True - most Cheryl/GA fans are quite likeable.

Ok so is there a way to get rid of recomendations on genius?

Not sure if it'll work (but it did for me)

Close the genius side bar.

Make sure you click on the background of your music library so nothing has a blue border

Re-open it and it should give you the top songs.

It doesn't always work... It seems a bit tempermental...

6. Pass Out - Tinie Tempah

12. Never Be Your Woman (Shy FX Radio Edit) [feat. Emeli Sandé] - Wiley

14. Why Don't You (Radio Edit) - Gramophonedzie

37. Number One Enemy - Daisy Dares You (up 2)

54. Gave It All Away - Boyzone (up 1)

85. Number One Enemy (feat. Chipmunk) - Daisy Dares You (up 6)

87. Pass Out (Radio Edit) - Tinie Tempah

177. I Am - Mary J. Blige (up 14)

214. Why Don't You - Gramophonedzie (up 16)

227. Pass Out (DC Breaks Remix) - Tinie Tempah (up 7)

238. Why Don't You (Radio Edit) - Gramophonedzie (up 16)

291. Alice - Avril Lavigne (new entry)

I'm still pretty sure Avril is gonna flop, even if she is #291.

It seems a bit tempermental...

Yeah, for me it works on other countries and it was working with the UK before but now it's onyl working for other countries

Ah well, better than nothing.

Yeah i've tried that loads of times too and nothing happens.

The best I can get it to do is to click something it doesn't recognise and then it shows the chart but edits out what you have in your library.

Tinie deserves the no.1 much more than Rihanna or Daisy. He's come quite out of nowhere and it's a great song. He hasn't been on much TV and so doesn't have as much recognition as Rihanna, so if he gets no.1 he deserves it.
I've only just listened to Gramophonedzie for the first time and I really like it.

Urgh @ Leona being knocked down the chart by these (awful) new songs <_<

Rihanna and her record company want ppl to buy the album, not singles, as that's where the money is.

Why is that so difficult for ppl on this board to understand

I would add digital singles/cherry picking from albums too. There's money too ;)
