April 19, 201015 yr Oh and listen here: http://sashafrerejones.tumblr.com/post/529...om-body-talk-pt Brilliant song!
April 19, 201015 yr It's amazing! Million times better than Fembots which wasn't that good imo. Well Fembots was never going to be a single, it's aim was to be the Konichiwa Bitches of this project. Personally I think Dancehall Queen is poor. None Of Dem is better but no The Girl & The Robot. However, Dancing On My Own is amazing.
April 19, 201015 yr Fantastic song. Definitely the best of the leaked tracks so far and would work so much better as a comeback. Glad to see there is one truly amazing track at least

April 20, 201015 yr Also props to Kleerup, they really should get more credit as producers worldwide.
April 20, 201015 yr 'Dancing on My Own' = pop song of the last 5 years That's some statement. I'm particularly enjoying the breakdown and quick drum beat before full beat kicks back in part.
April 20, 201015 yr I WEPT a single tear at the 3 minute 7 seconds mark. Stunning. Actually outdoes With Every Heartbeat.
April 20, 201015 yr 'Dancing on My Own' = pop song of the last 5 years After about seventeen listens, I now gravitate towards this point of view. IF THIS DOESN'T GO #1 I WILL CUT PEOPLE.
April 21, 201015 yr After about seventeen listens, I now gravitate towards this point of view. IF THIS DOESN'T GO #1 I WILL CUT PEOPLE. I think it's highly unlikely seeing as The Girl & The Robot managed to miss the top 200 altogether... #41 would be an achievement for her these days, no matter how great the music is :drama: Then again, I'm all for a With Every Heartbeat style 'UK in good taste shocker' but this was a once in a lifetime occurence, particularly looking at the tragic state of the charts currently - 2007>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2010
April 21, 201015 yr It's amazing! Million times better than Fembots which wasn't that good imo. THIS. Great song. Massive grower (for me though..) and so Robyn  I did feel something like this the first time i heard With Every Heartbeat which is now one of my favourite songs of all-time!
April 21, 201015 yr Loving this now, have listened to it non stop in the car since I heard it. It's like the glorious love child of With Every Heartbeat (musically) and Be Mine! (lyrically) None of Dem has also grown on me too, still think it could be better - especially as the chorus has the potential to be another classic moment of disco melancholy - but it's definitely growing with each listen.

I don't think we can base chart performance on that given the singles from her last album and Dream On all went top 40! Given this is lead single and will PROBABLY get Radio 1 backing I'm going to push the boat out and predict top twenty for this, with a realistic height of top five. Unless it gets used in BBC adverts and relentlessly pushed by R1 DJs like WEH did though, I don't see number one forthcoming

I was gobsmacked when it stuttered into the low end of the top 30, I'd thought top 10 was more likely! Like I say, I'd love to be proved wrong but the charts of 2010 are a hugely different beast to those of 2007/8. Those years were a breeding ground of quality pop in the charts, we now have diabolical INXS maulings and a truckload of generic R&B clogging up the top end. She still has a ton of internet hype but the public seem to be less interested now? I don't know...but I'm thinking #15 at best and a huge outcry of 'what's wrong with the public' etc...if it doesn't get Radio 1 playlisting (which would be a travesty), it won't be troubling the top 40 I don't think. Seeing as they failed to playlist The Girl & The Robot (yes I know it was Royksopp's song mainly but they generally like them anyway don't they?), they obviously don't have enough interest in her anymore that she gets a guaranteed playlisting no matter what so we'll see. So yeah, amazing song - stunning in fact, but I can't see this translating into a smash hit in the way that With Every Heartbeat did. Sad :(
April 21, 201015 yr I dont think much has changed since 2007, its still R&B/Hip Hop dominating the charts, withe a couple of pop songs doing well. WEH did so well because not only was it a great pop song that got loads of airplay, it also worked as a dance song with plenty of support from dance djs and dance radio.
April 21, 201015 yr I just don't get how Dream On (which was an original, non album track to most people when it came out) managed to flop so badly despite getting at least as much support as Be Mine got? It was dreamy electro pop just like With Every Heartbeat which was a big #1 just over a year earlier. With this track being of a similar genre I don't see how she can suddenly leap back to the top 5 considering the public lost interest so quickly in the first place? I obviously want it to do well because I love her  But I won't be at all surprised if it flops.
