I think being in top 10 really gives a sales boost because 1. front page of itunes. 2. Radio & TV more likely to support a top 10 song. 3. Its seen as successful.

So parachute doing really well, and looks like its still going to continue.

 

 

LOL Its not really an opinion though that it wouldnt have been #1, its completely realistic and clear to say it wouldnt make #1. But maybe it could be seen as an opinion even though i dont think it is :lol:

BTW I wrote it wrong, I wanted to say, that I think also that it won't be number 1. (I've edited my previous comment too)

To me it seems so clear, that its a fact it wont or wouldnt have been #1. It just seems bizarre that people would think it could have been #1 selling over say 90.000 which was #1 yesterday, thats just crazy. So as it seems so obvious it wouldnt have been its a..fact. :lol: ;)

well it I would say it stays as an opinion (a realistic opinion) until it happens (not becoming number 1) and then it will be a fact. :)

 

 

I agree with Ben - LL1, your post is an opinion, a hypothesis, a theory, and one which you cannot right now (and never can) prove as fact as it has not / will not happen (i.e. Radio 1 have not playlisted it, and as long as they continue to not playlist it, you cannot say it would not have gone to #1 with their playlisting).

 

I also happen to agree with you (and Ben), but it is not possible to say with 100% certainty (i.e. which would mean you could then classify it as a fact) that it would not have gone to #1.

Well its safe to say then it will soon be a fact ;)

You're right, that's also an opinion. As is yours that OAM would still not go to #1 even with Radio 1 support.

The difference is i think it can be debated whether clearly stating that OAM wouldnt be #1 even with radio1 support, its just a silly statement to say it would and i dont see that as being my opinion i see it as clear infront of everyones eyes aka a fact :lol: I think this debate could go on and on so we'll agree to disagree and get back to itunes discussion :-P

the release schedule looks a bit sparse until mid-April...I wonder what will get to #1 in the next few weeks? I'm not sure if Inna has enough momentum...

Kate Nash seems the obvious choice at the moment, physical releases are not peaking at #1, Iyaz, Owl City, Jason Derulo, Tinie I see a pattern forming now, bar Haiti track. Maybe Lady GaGa might get a week or 2 before Kate Nash is available to download. Unless something unexpected turns up, Jason and Tinie I never expected them to peak at #1, they both flew over my head.

GRRR..Was hoping to see Rihanna at #1 just to get that sh*te of the top spot!
