Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights around the city. An early collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with her ode to lost, drunken nights, "Just Dance." The song went on to top the charts in several other countries, helping GaGa to develop an international following. The vocalist made headlines at the 2009 Brit Awards when she, along with Brandon Flowers of the Killers, performed with the Pet Shop Boys on a medley of the synth-pop duo's hits, including the classic "West End Girls." - HMV Video here: jCquYNcuKHk Chart history (Year peak title): Lady Gaga 2009 01 Just Dance (Lady GaGa Feat. March 7, 201016 yr This is now officially my favourite track from GaGa! We should see it near the top 10 next week.
March 7, 201016 yr A set of relatively weak songs: first this new Pixie (nothing special), then Lemar (also quite overrated) and now the horrible Telephone :/
March 7, 201016 yr Oh gosh. Telephone nearly matched it's peak. No matter, It's gonna explode into the top 10 next week.
March 7, 201016 yr This Gaga song isn't that good tbh. Her worst to date imo. Beyonce doesn't help either. Hope it missess the top 5.
March 7, 201016 yr I thought "Telephone" would be climbing faster than this. But the release date for the single isn't here for 2 weeks yet, so it may make quite a few massive jumps. Got my CD & 7" on Pre-order.. Can't wait!
March 7, 201016 yr This Gaga song isn't that good tbh. Her worst to date imo. Beyonce doesn't help either. Hope it missess the top 5. Yeah, it's really substandard compared to all her other singles. It's really generic, anyone could release this. Her other singles are quite unique to her.
March 7, 201016 yr Love Telephone  Think this will be at about 12-13 next week, and whether it climbs depends on how well the physical/bundle sells, and how epic the video is.
March 7, 201016 yr Get Get Down was horrific, one of the few dance tracks from 1999 that I didn't like :(
