her recording/edited voice is fine, that's what I like, she's just rubbish live.

 

but frankly, i like HER not her MUSIC. I much prefer watching her interviews than her performances

 

interesting, i find it a bit weird. Her interviews were interesting before the Out Of Control era, now it's always the same

I don't think it's healthy having a complete loon as a mod yano :P Both performances were clearly not good, below-par, however you want to word it. I'd say the 'no-brainers' in this forum are the ones who can't see that.

 

And that's from someone who owns all of Girls Aloud's albums and Cheryl's too and loves them all - but can see the bigger picture with regards to bad performances and average vocals.

I completely agree Slick. I love Cheryl's voice, especially the tone to it, however, those performances really weren't that good. And I agree. I don't think i've ever seen so much blind-loon-ness LOL. Both of them were rubbish. Not just "Fireflies" or not just "Parachute", they were both quite disappointing. Still I respect her so much for giving it a go, especially under the circumastances. (Not being in the right frame of mind and illness etc...)

Oh yeah of course, I completely respect her for giving it a go considering she's been ill and her marriage break-up and all. I think that all goes without saying though tbh.

I agree I really like her voice but in these performances she wasn't singing well at all, she's a great performer just not a great singer (alone at least)

It wouldn't make a difference if she sang in the same style as 'Leona Lewis' or not, it would just help if she actually managed to sing in tune.

TBH i'm most probably the same with Sugababes when they mess up a performance.

Oh come on, they're not as catastrophic as people are saying -_- You call us loons for liking it, a lot of you are anti Cheryl loons :P Just because people like Glee doesn't make them song murdering loons!

 

Parachute isn't the most hmm exciting song if that's the word anyway, and it did sort of slip at the end.

 

Fireflies, never been a fan of the song, but I enjoyed Cheryl's attempt, but again it did sort of die at the end. Wouldn't mind a studio version :kink:

Of course not! Like I said, I've been a GM for like 3 years now altogether. Something like that. Any egotrips (if I ever had any) would be long gone. It's all about looking after the site for me, and all I was doing was asking you to tone down the looniness and immaturity a bit. A good mod looks at what everyone has to say and lets everyone say it, he doesn't blatantly disregard someone or shoot someone's opinion down in flames like I've seen you do in this thread, and throughout the whole site a few times. That's what I meant.

I love Cheryl, but those performances were awful :mellow:
