Me too, i thought the novelty would wear off after a week or two and it would slide

It's still getting huge support from Radio 1.

3 weeks on and there are still some people out there that want to buy that 'Pass Out' tat!??! hmmmm! im not convinced!....but that just me! make what you will of it!

But seriosuly! how easy would it be for record companies to pay the OCC to add a few zeros to the sales stats!!??

This must be the most stupid thing I have ever read on this forum

Seriously, not only the OCC would never answer to such an illegal request (and this is not being naive, it's just that such a trick is way too risky for the OCC, and it would mean the DEATH of the OCC as soon as someone found out the trick), and anyway that would also mean the label would have to pay Itunes, Amazon, HMV, Play and any other legal download sites to make it appear at the top, because as far as I know, Tinie is also #1 or so on all of them.

And anyway as it's been said, what would be the point of a label paying lots of money only to have 3 fake weeks at the top? If the music can't sell on its own (and with promotion of course), then there's no point in pushing it and wasting more money.

They always play it, it would be better if there was a studio version as it's getting a bit boring now

Wow! Telephone is doing amazing!

I think Pass Out is still the far more popular song at the moment. I've not heard anybody listen to, or sing, or talk about Telephone when I've been out and about today, but Pass Out still seems insanely popular. But Pass Out has been number one for 2 weeks already, so I won't mind if Telephone is number one. :)

Rude Boy is a much better song though, in my opinion.

Suprised "You Got The Dirtee Love" is still top 10

I wish it would go already. It's so lame, a combination of two uninspiring cover versions. Big whoop.

please dont tell me lady gaga cant even dethrone that timie crap oh god help us.
Come on Telephone get that #1! :w00t: Hope All Night Long will enter come Sunday evening after DOI and then carries on rising whenever the vid is released
Shame Rude Boy is probably never gonna get to #1 :(
Could someone post the popularity bars between Telephone and Pass Out? I wanna see if Gaga could be number 1 by tomorrow or not...

Tbf her management deserve it by being inefficient with her album release, RR's release and the UK second single release. It reminds me of how Leona's management have ****ed up the Echo era -_-

Anyway, i doubt they, and Rihanna, will lose sleep or get annoyed just because Rude Boy isn't a UK number one. She/they probably would have cared 4 years ago but she's a bigger star now.

Great for Inna, I can't recall the last time a Romanian act was in the top ten here, if there has ever been one!?! Once again proving that if radio get behind a decent Euro dance song, it will indeed do well! Shame they rarely support any of them anymore :(

If I'm right, this is the first top 10 hit by a Romanian artist in the UK single since (The Light Of Experience) Doina De Jale in August 1976 [/chartgeek]

Also, the song is now #1 in the US.

The single version of Telephone is up to #19

So I guess now the all Telephones versions are ahead of the stupid number 1!

On the Billboard Hot 100? Are you joking? :o :o :o

That's amazing! I'm glad RB has got there as if that couldn't get to #1 in the US, i don't think anything on RR could. RB is definitely the most instant.

I'm still against the fact that some artists can release anything regardless of how inefficiently it was released and get worldwide success while other artists have genuinely quality music that doesn't get a look in :(

Weren't you the one who kept saying Telephone would flop?

I am the one... and still don't think it will go number 1 but still, WOW for me.

Yeah i never really understood why you thought it would flop:

Honey B + GaGa + Darkchild+ catchy infectious electropop song + epic video + A-List on R1 = surefire hit and extremely likely number one.
