Nah #32 is decent enough for them. Couldnt stand Beat Again but Everybody In Love and One Shot are actually fariyl enjoyable im embarrased to say. The album wasnt too bad either.

I would have had JLS higher, but I didn't expect to do well anyways tbh

It's such a shame 'Box N Locks' flopped on it's arse, as 'See My Now' (the then-scheduled next single) and 'Pop Art', (the parent album), were actually really good. Anyway, MPHO has since been dropped and will most likely be forgotten by most.

Pfft, unlikely! I love MPHO. :heart: Saw her live supporting Beverley Knight at iTunes festival last year and she seemed like a really fun girl. I was only reconsidering "Hips Go Pop" as a BJSC entry today. I think she's still hoping to continue with music, even though she's been dropped and she's currently pregnant!

 

I don't think anyone made "Pop Art" to be anything that great. All of... what four or five people on here have probably heard it? They never got around to releasing it even.

Pop Art was a good album imo, I didnt think See Me Now was a good 2nd single though. Shame she got dropped but congrats on the pregnancy to her :heart:

I loved 'Box N Locks' at the start but it grew old quickly unfortunately.

Wasn't a great fan of the album either, it has to be said.

From 2009, I've only heard 'So Human', but that was epic, so I assume the rest of the album 'Jigsaw' was too. From past material ('Love Me Hate Me' and others I can't remember), they're not exactly what I'd go out of my way to listen to.

Hated So Human at the time of release but I admit its grown on me :D Hate most of her earlier material though. Cant say im too pleased to see her finish above the likes of MPHO, Melanie tbh.

Absolutely gutted at this low placing, as his album 'Graffiti' was absolutely fantastic. I'd already pre-judged it on 'I Can Transform Ya' and the Rihanna incident, but the whole album turned out to be amazing. No prize for guessing why he came so low.

I Can Transform Ya is one awful song. A shame tbh since I loved him this time 2 years back. With You in particular was :wub: and a highlight of early 2008 for me, plus Forever and Superhuman.

The album didnt really impress me that much and Crawl isnt worth much either.

Lady Sov - I like alot of her stuff

Chris Brown - just been listening to his 2nd and 3rd albums and both are great, should be higher!

Chris Brown's last two eras have been brilliant. (Exclusive era is better than Graffitti era imo though). But he still knows how to make a great RnB album! He's quite low on the countdown, but it was inevitable really.

In contrast I never rated his music that highly before, but "I Can Transform Ya" is my favourite of his by far! "Crawl" is also quite epic. (in the more traditional sense of the word) I've gone as far as downloading his album, but I'm not sure I'll go as far as listening to it in full. I kinda like the Eva Simons song though. I didn't even download his last one, but the singles you mentioned were alright.

 

So despite my personal opinion of him going down, my opinion of his new music has gone up. It's sort of the opposite of Rihanna, I feel sorry for her in that incident, but her latest music has a major step down in my books. But her music has always had a bit of a short shelf life, even when I did enjoy it.

Sorry Bevron (Bevron - a mixture of Bev and Aaron) but I hated the Eva Simons song in particular, was quite looking forward to it but it was a major let-down. Just a mess.

Will agree on Rihanna though, unlike most people Rated R really failed to impress me. I liked quite a lot of the album but it all paled in comparisment to Good Girl Gone Bad. Haha, finally, someone else who doesn't love "Rated R"! She's pretty overrated anyway, but I agree that the singles this era really aren't up to her past stuff. "Rude Boy" is quite annoying as I thought the whole point of this era was to try and appear all dark and hurt after the incident, but the video/theme is pretty much the opposite. (probably because no one was interested in the album at first)

It might be my favourite all male song from last year - if that counts?! I really can't be bothered to listen to the album, it's like...over an hour long.

I do understand what you mean, at first I was thinking I'd never play a Chris Brown record again and I'd try and support Rihanna's music more, but it's just not gone that way. I was hesitant at first, but I couldn't help loving "I Can Transform Ya". I tried to avoid liking it, but it was just too catchy. Unfortunately, I definitely prefer the two singles Chris has released to the two Rihanna has in their last eras, even though I didn't want to. I guess I was never big enough a Rihanna fan.
