I really think that Ellie will be a one hit wonder actually, scoring one big single/album off hype and hardly anything else afterwards a la Sandi Thom although not quite as cringeworthy :heehee:

Noodles gone :o

why, he was the singer wasnt he?

Noodle is a GIRL! We just I don't know where she is at the moment. She said to have died in El Manana video and is trapped in hell according to Murdoc.

the answer to my earlier question (from EveryHit.com);

Biggest Fall From Number One

17 places from Number 1 to Number 18 by George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" in the chart of w/e 3rd April 1971. This was, in part, a consequence of disrupted chart reporting due to a postal strike. The biggest exit from Number 1 in a conventional week is 13 places (to. no. 14). This has happened on two occasions; the Wu-Tang Clan's 1997 album "Wu-Tang Forever" and The Doves' "Some Cities" (2005).

OUCH!

I really wasn't expecting Telephone to rise this much! Oh well, the video was incredible! :lol: Let's hope it climbs to #1 next week. :kink:

Lady GaGa is a dance-pop singer from New York City. Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights around the city. An early collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with her ode to lost, drunken nights, "Just Dance." The song went on to top the charts in several other countries, helping GaGa to develop an international following. The vocalist made headlines at the 2009 Brit Awards when she, along with Brandon Flowers of the Killers, performed with the Pet Shop Boys on a medley of the synth-pop duo's hits, including the classic "West End Girls." - HMV

She's not dead. She's still part of the group according to fans.

I hate that our chartshow DJ hates like 90% of the stuff in the charts.. :rolleyes:
This has been a really bad year for new albums, particularly for the new artists. Most of them have peaked well but have dropped like stones. It's a shame because some of them are really good.
