Funny that I'm liking this album way more than the last time I listened to this (like over a month ago). I guess I've settled down now. :heehee:

This album has sold only about half of what 3 Words sold...

Girl thinks she is too famous now to promote the album....

And she ain't, clearly the sales show!!!

Edited by THEO.
please use proper English

She doesn't need to promote since she doesn't get that much more money out of that compared to XF, it's the label who should be more upset about the CD not reaching 500k yet.

Well, the album is not flopping at all though, especially considering 'Promise this' didn't do wonders and 'The flood' flopped. She would just need a good third and maybe fourth single to easily push its sales to double platinium, which would be amazing for a second album.

I cannot believe people are saying an album is flopping when it will clear 500,000 sales. My goodness.
Up 2 places to #29 this week ! This is the first time the album goes back up the charts :cheer:

 I hope it stabilises now :)

Hadn't listened to the whole album in a while until today, and gosh, it really IS a good pop album

I'm a bit gutted that it's underrated when it's really not a bad album.

I so agree! It's SUCH a good album, I always thought so even from first listen. I way way prefer it to 3 Words but I guess that's just my taste. There's so many more songs on Messy Little Raindrops that I play before I go out than 3 Words and thats the deciding factor for me :D

Waiting NEEDS to get a release, it's my fave Cheryl song ever! I hope she does actually release a 3rd single saying that! I wonder if she'll have time what with her USA obsession atm? Imagine if she doesn't actually get this judging gig in the USA! I think she should turn to Girls Aloud for comfort if that happens lol *cough cough* B) :P

I so want "Yeah yeah" or "Waiting" for 3rd single. She'll probably go with "Everyone" though. :(

Album up 3 to #26 this week :cheer:

Left the top 10 quickly, but then she had such a steady chart run,: 1-3-8-12-15-16-17-19-26-31-29-26

all the haters:

this may have sold less than 3W but it still managed to outsell all but two of GAs releases and nadines album. a third single should carry it past the 600,000 mark easily, plus there will be more sales over the winter.

the album is currently £5.99 in HMV sale which is weird!

Cheryl Cole has apparently decided to scrap the release of her recorded duet with Dizzee Rascal.

According to the Daily Star Sunday, the 'Promise This' singer is hoping for a prolonged spring break before building her reputation in the US, thus putting the collaboration on hold.

"She has been working non-stop promoting the album since recovering from malaria and she needs a break," a source revealed.

"She told her record label she didn't want to heavily promote 'Everybody, Everyone' so the release has been scrapped over fears it would be a flop."

"Cheryl's team were shocked by 'The Flood''s disappointing chart position and they didn’t want to risk another failure and jeopardise her reputation," the insider continued.

"Another concern was that Cheryl had too many work commitments. She's still in the running for the US X Factor and didn't want to do any more interviews to promote new material back home.

"Something had to give so her team decided to pull any further single releases for the time being. So much has been built up about Cheryl cracking America she's terrified she will look like a failure if it doesn't happen," the source added.

"Cheryl knows it will be difficult for her to launch a solo career in the States without the US X Factor so she's pulling back on her UK commitments to make sure it happens."

"She has been working non-stop promoting the album since recovering from malaria and she needs a break"

REALLY?! Where? Certainly not in the UK.

Yes non stop clearly means 2 or 3 performances of each song.... I would understand if she did as many performances as the saturdays did promotion wise, but she hasn't. Considering how many solo albums she has sold Cheryl should really be looking at doing a theater tour tbh.
