Where the hell did All Night Long come from? Fantastic for Alex though, much prefer it to Broken Heels and hopefully it'll chart higher than it.

Sadly she's never been one to string together more than a couple of hits at a time :lol: Even the follow up to the HUGE Hips Don't Lie only limped into the top 40 :(

What channel was Titantic on. I love that song. Bring tears to my eyes. P.S. Daniel love your sig. The sig is giving me x-rated thoughts of Keri. :( :D

It was on Channel 4 on Saturday night. And cheers, I found it on a random site and loved it instantly, she looks so good in that photo :wub: Especially as I don't normally find her particularly stunning. And the colours and cartoons make me love it even more ^_^

 

It's stating to drop now :down: to #392 & #520, but it has had a decent jump on iTunes.

As for Shakira... MEH! I used to really like her, but now I find her voice awful and grating. Especially this era for some reason. 'Gypsy' is bland too. Should have gone for 'Men In Town' as the next single.

Anyway, on the subject of All Night Long, this is bound to do well and, as Jack said, it's likely to do a DSTM, Disturbia chart run. By the looks of things, the video will probably also be like DSTM :D

 

So I can see Alex fans are now bashing Broken Heels - back in December all of them were saying it's much stronger than Bad Boys and it's much superior to the latter...

 

Is everything that Alex sang on her debut album so brillant? Because as a Madonna fan myself, I am not blindly falling in everything she releases. Didn't like Hard Candy at all...

MTV79 I am sure most Alex fans have never thought that BH is better than BB, and yes Overcome is brillant.Without radio play and a video to support it All Night Long is likely to peak and then fall.Typical Syco I doubt they have lined up any more performances for Alex.It would have been good to have the original version have a reasonable chart run.

How was i bashing BH? :huh: I even said at one point that her releases just keep getting better and better. Hardly bashing :D

 

And no not everything on Alex's album is brilliant. Gotta Go, Nothing But the Girl, Bury Me and You Broke My Heart are all rather meh but All Night Long, Broken Heels, The Silence, Overcome and sort of Goodnight Good Morning and Dumb are all brilliant. Let's not forget Hallelujah, They Don't Know and to a far lesser extent BB ^_^

 

Oh and yeah i also think Madonna is losing it a bit. Great in her prime but has turned into a sheep recently.

I know, it's so annoying how fickle people can be, I always did and always will think it's a smashing pop song and definitely better than 'Bad Boys'. People go on as if it underperformed too when it's sold bucketloads and had a lengthy chart run. People focus on a peak too much sometimes when it can be misleading. I mean, look at Lady GaGa's 'LoveGame'. It sold nearly 200k which is very impressive by any means, but because it has a #19 peak people go on about what a "flop" it was.

Broken Heels had a brilliant chart run. It spent 11/12 weeks in the top 40 and actually debuted in the top 40 (not the top 75 like nearly every other follow-up single). People also need to realise that it peaked at #5 on iTunes but suffered due to having it's sales spread over multiple weeks. New releases would always catch up.

DOI only gets 7.5 million now :o it used to have 10 mill + every week. Thank god though it's as tacky as hell.

They wouldn't not playlist it, she's been very successful with everything she's released so far. It won't be until around 3 weeks before the official release though.

Really, I should ask them if they're gonna start backing any fresh music anytime soon, rather than recycled Paolo Nutini?
