Totally agree Rain.

 

It's all about the mid-tempos and subtle up-tempos this minute - bar GaGa's material. Look at Cheryl and Rihanna - their music isn't so in-your-face but is still successful.

 

Scene of the Crime is the right tempo and tone to succeed in the charts. Hope someone tweets her telling her to release it at one point.

So i'm alone in thinking 'Scene of the Crime' is average then? :lol:

It's Ok. It's not awesome but it's not bad......... Average then as Jonjo said. Of course all these songs could be unfinished !?!

The beat of this reminds me of Shak's Did It Again, dunno why, just does especially at beginning. And in places there's some violin(?) 'flurries' that remind me of the ending of a Dido song (But i can't remember which one !)

Leona Lewis is reportedly planning a radical overhaul of her image and sound on her next album.

 

The 25-year-old is said to be looking to shed her 'good girl' tag and follow the lead of edgier singers such as Rihanna and Lady GaGa.

 

"Leona's ready to evolve her look and music," an insider told Now. "She wants her next album to be totally unexpected and different, like Rihanna's and GaGa's. They're around her age and make the kind of exciting impact she wants to make. Leona's latest album hasn't done as well as she hoped and feels she has to step it all up."

 

The 'Bleeding Love' star is thought to have been moving towards a more risqué style in recent months, appearing in a Lady GaGa-esque outfit for Perez Hilton's birthday party last month as well as getting a tattoo along her spine in February.

 

"She's preparing for the new her," continued the source. "She won't be turning into Lindsay Lohan and falling out of clubs, but big changes are ahead. She's now talking to producers who aren't afraid to experiment to get them to work on her next album. She's hoping to do some collaborations first."

 

Lewis's spokesperson added to the publication: "Her new style's a natural progression as she loves fashion. Her look's in preparation for her tour, which starts on May 28. She's been hands-on with all the wardrobe design and it'll be edgy, but this tour and her current album are her priority right now."

"Sources" making up things to get headlines and numerous websites copying and pasting it. Yes there will be a progression in the next album just like there was with Spirit and Echo, but there certainly won't be a big dramatic makeover like they are trying to make out.

I hope (and believe) this is made up. I was sure that after her so called 'flop' press will start rumors like Robbie and Leona working on a Re-release Leona and KOL and so on... But this one is really pathetic, who would believe Leona would like to be more like gaga? There will be some evolution but this is just ridiculous! Perhaps she will also form a band because the Beatles have sold much more than Gaga and she wants to copy them instead. :rofl:

Scene Of The Crime has to be on this or an Echo re-release, it is too good to not be released. If that was used as the first single instead of Happy, I doubt Leona would be in the position she currently is in.

Has it been mentioned yet that Leona was working with Claude Kelly in the studio a few weeks ago? That might have been to do with the soundtrack.

Either way, I really like it. Needs bit of work but as demo's go I think this is a great sound for Leona.

 

Tracks like this, SOTC and Perfect Stranger would make a great album IMO.

I have since changed my mind.

 

The opening line "I shoulda told you i got a little wild side" would really make the song a great album opener. If polished, it could be a really strong album track.

Eh, "Danger Made Me" is weak. Maybe it'll slot somewhere onto the third record, but I wouldn't hope so.
