I just love how amazing GlassHeart & Come Alive are acoustic and in single version, both possible singles i'd say.

I'm worried for this album :( hopefully it gets the sales it deserves next week
The title track NEEDS to be a single, I dunno what they were messing around with "Collide" or "Trouble" for when they had this under their belt!

Glassheart should have been first single followed by a ballad (Fireflies/Lovebirds) for the festive Christmas period and then another catchy up-tempo (hard to pick one). Collide was not good and the hurt trio was a stupid idea but Trouble is not a bad song. In fact it is a very good one, but it doesn't have the required power of a first single.

 

 

Even if trouble received mixed reviews I am confident Leona will turn the tides. This album is too good to drop like a stone, it just needs to get into the spotlight so that people realise it is indeed good. Terrible management spreads like a superinfectious disease nowadays :rolleyes:

 

Glassheart should normaly sail to no1 next week even if Leona does not sell as much as we expect (60k should be enough)... The only competition should be Taylors 2nd week (not that big in the UK) and Mumford and Sons n-week (their sales should normaly decrease further with time). Longevity at the chart will be the real challege...

I LOVE this album. Its really solid. To me Leona is a fantastic album artist rather than someone who makes the odd blockbuster single.

 

I love every song on the album, except from Favourite Scar and When It Hurts. Everything else is great! However I would not have picked Trouble for the first single.

 

Please let this be her 3rd No.1 album :)

Saw the advert last night :D she looked stunning :wub: I'm so gutted I won't be home for the post coming since my copy should arrive today :( ah well, something to look forward to when I get home!

My deluxe came today, listening now :) Loving it so far!

My standouts atm - Glassheart, Come Alive, Fireflies, I To You and Trouble.

 

All the acoustics are bloody fantastic too.

 

Glassheart and Come Alive are screaming to be released!

Also 'Sugar' is fantastic, should have been on the standard version!

There's alot of potential on this album but unfortunately it's only rarely very great. 'Trouble (with Childish Gambino)', 'Come Alive' and 'I to You' are the obvious standouts.

I have a feeling that she's searching for a certain sound that fits her on this album and the result is a mixed bag of experimention. The above mentioned tracks work out very great but there are others that just don't work for me and then there are mediocre tracks that I could take or leave.

Mine didn't come :( stupid post!

Trouble - 9.0

Un Love Me - 8.0

Lovebird - 8.5

Come Alive - 8.5 (Would have been a 9.0 but I find the break out into the last chorus a bit messy)

Fireflies - 7.5 (I do rather like it and think her vocal runs at the end are brilliant, however the backing track becomes too monotonous for me)

I To You - 8.0

Shake You Up - 6.0 (That intro is horrendous and it just sounds too dated. It is catchy though so you can tell it had potential)

Stop The Clocks - 9.0 (Such a grower, becomes really catchy and lovely actually)

Favourite Scar - 5.5 (I find her vocals on this actually quite annoying, seems like she is putting on a voice, especially in the verses)

When It Hurts - 7.0

Glassheart - 10.0 (Screaming out for a single release, best thing on the album by miles)

Fingerprint - 9.0

Sugar - 7.5

Trouble (ft. Childish Gambino) - 9.5

Trouble (Acoustic) - 9.0

Come Alive (Acoustic) - 10.0

Glassheart (Acoustic) - 9.0

Collide (Afrojack Remix) - 6.5

 

Overall I would say that it was a strong album and there is some standouts in the shape of 'Trouble', 'Come Alive', 'Glassheart', 'Fingerprint' and 'Stop The Clocks' but to say that I am not slightly dissapointed would be a lie. With spending 3 years recording this, even pushing the whole project back 11 months, I expected something greater than this, as although on the whole it is good, I think it is weaker than her last two albums. Anyway, at least it as some gems for me to listen to and I can see some of the other tracks growing on me some more, like 'Lovebird' and 'I To You'.

Stand outs for me after a couple listens are: Glassheart, Trouble, Sugar and Come Alive. A few others i'm loving too! Pretty good album imo! :D Still can't believe she completely left 'Collide' off the standard though, my favourite Leona song ever. :(

Loving the album, so glad to finally have Glassheart in HQ too!!

 

Early favourites are Fireflies, Glassheart, Come Alive, Fingerprint and Shake You Up! It's all amazing though! :wub:
