Whoa? When did they learn to do that. Because about 90% of the performances by the Sugababes I've heard have been painful for the ears!

Exactly. They haven't done an impressive performance in years, lately they've sound awful vocal wise and body wise all they can do is ridiculous whore like chorepgraphy.

And please remember anyone is entitled to one's opinion, and this is an ARTIST bashing thread, not member bashing. Accept the rules or leave this thread if you can't take it.

Still there is always the second Cheryl Cole album; and debut solo albums by Nadine Coyle & Sarah Harding to look forward to by the end 2010.

Agree, I'm really looking forward to it too!

Then GA will come back a la Take That :)

You were referencing them live, I was referencing them live. And the fact that you think their live ability is even close to "mindblowing" is just crazy. They have always been awful live, however I think that they have gotten better since Jade joins.

I think someone either needs their hearing tested or the ears syringed. Even from the get go one reason why the music critics loved them was because they could cut it live.

I'd prefer them mime tbh, it sounds better than hearing them live ;)

No, i mentioned that they actually sing live where as Cheryl mimes. Nothing about their live ability which is entirely subjective. They've traditionally been spot on live. I could post literally 100's of videos to back my point up.

Heidi can be horrendous, and clearly has the most work done to her voice but i'd prefer to hear them live regardless. The fact that some people don't think Thank You For The Heartbreak lives up to the live performance clearly says something about just how good they are live.

We can go on forever, but i say we agree to disagree.

That clip started with a flat Siobhan hitting bum notes left right and centre. I'm glad she left, she has a very nasally voice. And maybe I just have high standards, as I listen to Leona Lewis and Beyoncé who are known for their incredible vocals, and consistancy.

I have seen and heard many awful vocal performances from the Sugababes, a performance on Strictly Comes Dancing comes to mind. So my mind is not being changed regarding the live vocal "abilities".

I think that has to be the single most hypocritical piece of nonsence you have ever posted

Well considering your favourite act sounds like this Live ....

... then I can fully understand why you would want to hit the mute button for live performances than listening to these five girls sounding like they've come out of a nightclub at 2AM in the morning.

Girls Aloud are amazing live  Loved that performance too :)

And LOL I don't get your point getting out a GA performance to prove Sugababes can sing live? LOLZ.

My favourite act is Beyoncé. Nice try though

Contrary to the belief of some bloggers, the Sugababes aren't 1000years old yet. Check back in the year 3000 for Sugababes 368.0 however for your pathetic knee jerk reaction snipe to become partially accurate.

At least they know how to sing Live ;) Something a supposed talent contest winner/judge could do with learning.

Heidi's getting that way though so they'll boot her out in the next couple of years to ensure the average age of the band never passes 25 :kink:

Maybe you should listen to the record because it was recorded in that flat note register by Siobhan just as the other two with harmonise in the natural and sharp pitch respectively, it was an early distinct trademark of their sound FFS.

I can only begin to imagine what you would make of a David Bowie, John Lennon, Velvet Underground & Nico, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann, Kurt Cobain, Morrissey, etc who have al regularly recorded in flat, sharp & natural pitches.

Still you love the vocal OTT acrobatics of Beyonce (i've always thought she was the worst singer in Destiny's Child) & Leona Lewis which says it all really = all X-Factor/American Idol vocal technique and zero raw emotion.

Ah yes the TOTP performance  Legendary.

The girls didn't understand the fuss about them singing live when they first appeared, they thought that everyone could sing live. They broke the mould for pop acts and are partially to blame for the amount of stick artists get for miming. 1.0 refused to appear if they couldn't sing live.

i'll bring just two videos to the table

not even Jade can rape AYN

Jesus Christ if that X-Factor performance was a good performance, I'd bloody hate to hear a bad Girls Aloud live performance.

Wonderful, we get to listen to her singing flat, because it was recorded that way. Wonderful

I would think it sounds awful, because they are singing flat. I prefer acts that sing in key, but if you like bands or singers that are out of key, then that's just fine.

No I don't love her OTT acrobatics, they're the worst part of her singing IMO. And yeh it does say it all, it says that I like singers than can stay in tune and show emotion (Leona does, it clearly goes over your head, you're used to watching the Sugababes for goodness sake) as well as perform their asses off. :cheer: @ the Sugababes turning their head from side to side!

Watching Cheryl 'live' on sport relief now and guess what- shes miming!! :o shock horror

ouch! she hit some bad notes there as well

They sounded great on the chorus together, but individually they were woeful. Cheryl made me laugh so much when she started singing, perhaps it's best she mime, she's truly $h!te.

You are aware that made no sense whatsoever  She mimed and yet hit bum notes?
